Are you looking for the best way to keep your lizard warm and comfortable? We carry plenty of options from some of the best reptile heat lamp supplies so you can properly care for your pet. Petco also has heating pads, basking lamps and stations and under-tank heating pads. It can be an ideal way to complete your bearded dragon’s terrarium.
You can use a variety of heat lamps for your lizard. A reptile UVB light is a popular selection, and so are basking lamps and heating pads. Depending on the lamps you use, you can interchange certain bulbs that will emit different heat levels. Check out our guide on choosing the right reptile heat lamp.
In most cases, yes. Since these lizards can often do well with a cooler night temperature, we recommend using a ceramic heater. These heaters emit infrared heat, and the ceramic heater or nocturnal bulb can be used at all hours of the day. It’s often best to provide UVB rays with full-spectrum lighting for 10 to 12 hours each day. An incandescent day bulb is perfect for providing your beardie a basking light during daylight hours only.
That all depends on the size of your pet, but as a general rule, bigger is better. The minimum appropriate terrarium size for a bearded dragon is 48” X 24” X 24”, but for larger dragons, you might consider going up to 60” X 36” X 36”. The biggest dragons can get up to 24-feet long, so be sure to get a tank big enough for your pet to move around comfortably.
You don’t need to build a terrarium for your pet because Petco has a wide selection of habitats and terrariums in all sizes for you to choose from. Give your beloved pet the home they deserve. And within your bearded dragon tank, you’ll need heat maps, décor, hideaways, substrate and bedding. You’ll also need to stock up on food, vitamins and supplements for your scaly pet.

I am about to get a crested gecko and have done lots of research, but am nervous I'll kill my crestie. You see, lots of people have different opinions about additional lighting. 1 breeder said a heat lamp killed many of his crested geckos, while another breeder said it killed her geckos when they DIDNT have a heat lamp. Should I get a heat lamp? (My tank is a 12 by 12 by 18, of that helps at all) Also, should that size tank be good for 1 crested gecko for his entire life?

Why does my Beardie run up and down the viv and the front like it seems he wants out also what is the normal weight and length for a 5 month old Beardie
Hello, i have a roughly 4 month old bearded dragon, named terra. I noticed she has a dark spot on the lip on oneside. It does not seem to have grown at all. She eat well and moved around in her tank amd is handled and allowed to run around and explore which she does. Her basking area is between 100 to 110. Depends on where she chooses to lay on her rock. But anyways. I scrubbed her gently around the lip and a little but liften off cause the was a slight greyish thing came off a bit.
I have a fancy bearded dragon that is almost one now. When I first purchased him we got a 10 gal tank and he seems to be getting bigger. Do you think if I purchase a 40 gal tank he’ll be set for a year or two? Thank you.
my dragon beared not moving
My Bearded Dragon Iris has not been opening her eyes for longer than 20 seconds. She has what looks like a black ring around her eyes (right around the eyelids) and her eyes are darker than usual and kind of dry looking. I have soaked her, given her repticalcium, and a 50/50 mixture of water and unflavored Pedialyte. The nearest exotic animal vet is 4 hours away and I have no way to get there or to keep her warm for that long.... can someone PLEASE help me!! I am very worried....
My bearded dragon got an x-ray and has a broken bone and 2 fractures. The vet suggested to increase vitamin intake and 'reset' his limb to a natural position when I notice they are bent. My question is, should I splint or cast the broken leg to keep it at an appropriate and natural position?
