With Interceptor Plus, your dog can benefit from 5-worm protection delivered in one, tasty, chicken-flavored monthly chew. Interceptor Plus for dogs is designed to help prevent heartworm disease, while also protecting against common (and potentially deadly) intestinal parasites—hookworms, roundworms, whipworms and tapeworms.
Interceptor Plus helps to protect against five different types of worms in dogs and puppies 6 weeks and older, weighing 2 pounds or more. Each tasty, chicken-flavored prescription tablet provides heartworm disease prevention and protection against hookworm, roundworm, whipworm and tapeworm infections for a full month.
Both are prescription oral treatments that help provide prevention and protection against four parasitic worms—heartworms, roundworms, hookworms and whipworms. Interceptor Plus contains the additional active ingredient praziquantel—which targets tapeworms—making it a 5-worm treatment.
Because Interceptor Plus is an oral treatment, it can take up to 1 to 2 days to be fully absorbed in your pet’s system and begin working.

How can I get the Interceptor plus that I was given my dogs without having to take all 3 of them to the vet? I came from Puerto Rico and they all current in shots and everything
We just discovered our dog has fleas and we are wondering what would be the best option to treat them. We currently give Interceptor Plus for heartworm and he gets a monthly shot of CADI (cytopoint) for his allergies.
On my dogs underbelly, there are circles of skin irritation. The red color that incircles the dark is raised. What could this be? She is up to date on all vaccines and takes nexguard and interceptor plus each month.
My dog has developed blotchy pink spots around his eyes and today I noticed that it’s happening on the top of his nose as well. He is on Interceptor Plus and Bravecto. I also have another dog who does not have these pink spots developing. Is this an allergy or an infection?
Is there any over the counter shampoos you recommend to help soothe my pup that has demodectic mange? She was switched from trifexis to simparica and interceptor plus for treatment but I want a shampoo that will help soothe it during regular baths I give her.
My dog has tapeworms and I just gave him the Interceptor Plus tablet. How long will it be before he’s completely cleared of them? Do they linger on household items such as blankets? Do they stay on the floors and couches and things like that? How will I know when they’re all gone?
Is it ok to give jasper Simparica and interceptor brown together?
My sister has a puppy that has repeatedly been treated for worms. We believe he could still have them. Unfortunately, my dogs will be around this puppy this weekend. We aren’t letting them eat/drink from same bowls or go to the bathroom in the same area. Also, both my dogs were given interceptor plus a few days ago. Will this prevent them from picking up worms?
Could Bayer Advantage Multi and Elanco Interceptor Plus be given to my dog at the same time (or will using both cause an issue)? The rescue recommended keeping my greyhound on Advantage Multi. It was also suggested that a Heart worm med be added. And what could be used with both meds (or just Advantage Multi if the two meds should not be given together) for Ticks?
my border collie is on interceptor. can she also use REVOLUTION at the same time? THANKS!
Hi there, I rescued to baby kittens, approx 2 weeks old. I have a surrogate mama taking them on right now. The gentleman who reached out for help was giving them Interceptor Plus Orange, for Canines. I’m unsure of the amount. But from my understanding 2 week old kittens should never receive any parasite control... I’m just worried this has caused damage to them in some sort? Are they going to be okay from this? I am unsure of the amount he gave them, an entire pill (0.9-3.6kg).
I just got my puppy, and yesterday the hospital said he was a healthy boy but wanted a stool sample soon, and they gave me a worm medication called interceptor plus. I put it in my puppy’s food bowl because he wouldn’t eat it by itself, so I tried putting it in his food, and now I’m paranoid that maybe he didn’t eat it, since I didn’t physically see him eat it. Theyre closed today and last night when he pooped there were large spaghetti looking worms in his poop. Should I be worried?
