Seresto collars for dogs and cats offer the performance your pet needs in an easy-to-use collar that delivers continuous protection from fleas and ticks for 8 months. Seresto effectively kills and repels fleas and ticks through contact. That means pests don’t need to bite your pet for the treatment to work, unlike prescription oral treatments. Plus, it works for 8 continuous months, so there’s no need to reapply messy monthly topical treatments.
Seresto collars contain two active ingredients—imidacloprid to target fleas and flumethrin to kill and repel ticks. Similar to topical treatments, these ingredients spread from a point of contact over your dog’s skin and coat, from head to tail, killing fleas within 24 hours and ticks within 48 hours of contact. But whereas topical treatments wear off or wash off over time, Seresto collars deliver a continuous concentration of the active ingredients for 8 months. That sustained, long-lasting protection is what makes Seresto different from prescription oral and topical treatments.
Seresto is made by Elanco, a global leader in animal health, which stands behind the safety profile of Seresto collars and the rigorously reviewed data that supports it. Since 2012, over 25 million Seresto collars have protected cats and dogs across America against the dangers of fleas and ticks.
You can purchase Seresto easy-to-use, 8-month collars for flea and tick protection at Petco online or your neighborhood Petco Pet Care Center. No prescription is required.
Seresto is water-resistant, so there’s no need to remove the collar for swimming or bathing. It remains effective following a shampoo treatment, swimming or after exposure to rain or sunlight.
Seresto collars are formed out of a unique polymer matrix, which contains the active ingredients imidacloprid, which has been used in products for years to control flea infestations, and flumethrin, which effectively kills and repels ticks. Together, these ingredients provide dual action protection against fleas and ticks. No other product has this combination of ingredients.

I gave my cat Frontline Plus but I am thinking of trying a Seresto collar now since Frontline isn’t working. Can I go ahead and use the seresto collar if the Frontline hasn’t completely worn off yet? Are the Seresto collars safe for cats with severe flea dermatitis?
Can Seresto and Revolution be combined at the same time? Blu has been wearing the Seresto collar for about a week (mainly bought it for ticks). I'd like to put him on Revolution since it protects against heartworm & fleas (but not ticks). Will he be ok if I apply the Revolution medication even though he's been wearing the Seresto collar?
Hello! I put a Seresto collar on my cat 3 days ago and it does not seem to be working to kill fleas. Can I safely combine the Seresto collar with flea drops or Capstar?

Hi! Can Frontline Plus and Seresto be safely combined for a medium/large cat? He’s had Frontline Plus administered two weeks ago for fleas, and I’m specifically wondering whether a Seresto collar can safely be used for supemental protection — especially when he goes outside, and while I’m working to get the house flea-free — before the next monthly dose of Frontline. Thanks!
