Cats are creatures of comfort and cleanliness, which is why choosing the right cat litter is essential for both their well-being and your ease of maintenance. Petco offers a wide variety of cat litter types to cater to every feline preference and household need. Our collection boasts top brands and formulations, ensuring that you find the perfect fit for your pet and home environment.
Cat litter works by absorbing urine and feces so that it’s easy to scoop up and remove. Some varieties of cat litter even work to absorb unpleasant scents.
Cat litter comes in all different materials. At Petco we also carry alternative cat litter varieties featuring ingredients like wheat, corn, walnut, crystal, and wood.
Cats take the cleanliness of their litter box very seriously. You should remove all clumps from the litter box every day. And aim to clean out and refill the litter once a week, or maybe more if you live in a multi-cat home.
Unscented, dust-free clumping litters are generally recommended for kittens. It's also crucial to ensure that the litter is safe if ingested, as kittens can sometimes consume it out of curiosity.

Should I buy cat litter for my indoor outdoor kitty?
Adopted 3mo kitten use to paper pellet litter. Always uses litter box. I'm trying to find non dusty, I live in single wide trailer, clumping and unscented. What do you suggest I try?
Hi is it ok to use special odour preventers to help prevent odours in cat litter boxes?I found this in Walmart is it a good brand?not quite sure
My cat poops in the bath tub. I tried 2 litter boxes. I tried keeping water in the bath tub (which made mold). Even with water in the bath tub, she stopped using 2 litter boxes and started dropping her poop right out side the box. People have suggested changing the litter (World's Best). What would be the best litter to use. She is 7 and may have chronic pancreatitis. Thank you.
Hi, I find myself having to vaccum the entire appartment twice a day because of my cat's litter spreading everywhere as soon as she does her business and exits the litter box. This is too much maintinance especially when I only have one cat. I have a litter matt and a big closed litter box to minimise spread of litter but still this happens everyday. As a result, would you be able to recommend the best no-tracking/low-tracking litter for my cat?
What's do you think about the soft wood pellets used in fireplace' but used for cat litter. I am also considering of buying a litter box that has a sifter underneath. I have purchased some at Canadian tire and it is called Surefire wood pellets
My male cat does not bury his mess, could I use a little baking soda as a litter deodorizer? Any there other options to add to litter to help with smell?
What kind of kitty litter should I use that won't be harmful to my litter of kittens to get them potty trained? Would something this be okay? Or should I try to find something else?
Hello my cat is an inside and out cat, I live in Florida. I have two litter boxes for him it is a clumping brand so it's an easy clean up, he has no problem using them. the question is the box I have put outside is clumping with out my cat using it, and when it does start to clump he doesn't use the one out side.... but still uses the box with the same litter inside. Which litter should I use out side?
I caught my cat licking the cat litter multiple times already, what should I do? His current litter is a clay-clumping litter. I decided to switch to this litter (attached picture). Is this litter safe for the cat even if he licks it? Thank you!
What are good brands or types of litter that I can use? I use arm and hammer slide and my cat loves it, but it was gone the last time so i got another brand and my cat scoots her but butt. I need a brand that is an alternative for times when my primary type of litter isn't in store.
Ok, scruff, my 3 month old previously feral kitten is not using the litter box to poop or pee. I purchased "CAT ATTRACT" LITTER. My question is : should I add dirt to this? I read on the box it's 100% guaranteed to work, but, she won't use it. Should I put her poop in there? What can I do? I am at my wits end. She just went to the vet, she's healthy, just stubborn!! We live in a 1 room house, very small.
