I ve noticed these things have different readings. Currently, I have 2 (more expensive) infrared thermometers- exact same make and model and new batteries.When I check side by side, different readings. How accurate is this? What's the temp range?
Can this be used to measure water temperature in a tank?
- Yea, surface temp. Just don't stick it underwater. I have one of these but bought a Lazer temp gun instead because this one you have to be an inch or so away from target area or temp is off the farther you are away from spot.

- Absolutely! This thermometer can read a wide range of temperatures. I tells me the warm side and the cold side with pinpoint accuracy.

I have a leopard gecko and it seems that the temperature in the tank isn't getting to what it needs to be. I have a heating mat and a thermostat and i have the heating mat highest up to 93 degrees. But the air inside on the warm side is only like 79 degrees how do I fix this I know that heating mats are the best for them but it isn't making my tank warm enough. Also, I know that heat lamps aren't the best since they aren't basking animals. So what should I do to make it warmer?

Last night I forgot to spray down her tank (45x45x60cm exo terra). She's eating as usual and moves around the tank as usual. Can I do anything to help her and identify the situation or should I take her to the vet?
