Lamps are great not too hot not too bright, great for a little extra warmth for our S.I. Eclectus'. My rating comes from the fact that the last 2 orders have arrived broken. The second was a replacement did not realize that they would replace with broken lamps...Silly me. The packaging was a single strip of paper in the box to keep movement at bay...NOT. Delivery service must toss these packages around the truck since they are light. NO MENTION OF THE ITEMS BEING FRAGILE on the outside of the box.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good product but they do go out about every 8-16 months and they are not cheap for a light bulb! Have to have it though in my climate and home temp setting. My "beardie" knows what she likes and bathes after baths under the light and when cloudy/cold/no sun/nighttime if she wants to. If it lasted longer 5 stars but its unpredictable.

No, I do not recommend this product.

are these bulbs LED or UV?

  1. Neither? It’s an incandescent bulb that emits infrared heat.

I am getting a red eyed crocodile skink and don't know what watt i should get, my tank is 25 gallons

So, I currently own a juvenile bearded dragon, and even though I was told they are fine at night, I still get worried about him getting to cold. I still this the product I need? Do I need a different product? Will he be fine with no light at night?

    1. Hello, The Nocturnal Infrared heat lamp 75 watts can be used at night with a bearded dragon. If your house stays above 70 degrees F at night then you should not need a night time heat source. However if you are worried or it is a new addition to the family you can certainly add a night time heat source until your bearded dragon has gotten a little older.

Does the ZooMed infrared bulb fit in the 5.5" or 8.5" clip on lamp you sell?

    1. Thank you for your question. The 50 watt bulb is about the size of a standard incandescent bulb and will fit in either size of the Zoo Med Deep Dome Lamp Fixtures.

What wattage should I get for a 20 gallon high aquarium? I have a leopard gecko.

    1. Thank you for your question. If you wanted to use a heat lamp, we would recommend a lower watt heat lamp for Geckos, such as the 50 watt bulb, in a 20 gallon size tank. The temperature should range from 75°-85°F by day with a 90°F basking area; 70's by night. We would recommend that you also have a good thermometer to be sure that the temperatures are appropriate for your pet.
