Lasted a month and a few days.

Purchased on 3/10/25 and went out 4/15/25. Both bulb and lamp went out. Normal wear, turned on and off Dragon's enclosure. Don't waste your time and money. In the process of purchasing a clamp lamp at Lowe's or HomeDepot instead.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Do the job!

I bought this yesterday, and it does the job well. I like features such as the ceramic coating, though I wish the cap were longer to fully cover the bulb. That said, the 150W version was on sale, so I think it’s a great deal overall.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Burns!

I have purchased 3 of these and they continue to burn out my lamps. The wires melt and burn. I am using 150 w bulb in a 250 lamp and it keeps happening. This time it broke my thermostat. I’m not sure what the issue is but need this for my hedgehog.

No, I do not recommend this product.

The bulb burned out in three weeks time. You did replace it. Thanks for that. Hoping this one will last a lot longer

Great lamp

Nice! The metal globe on the xl is smooth vs the ribbed one pictured, and it so much nicer than the ribbed ones. It's easier to dust, but the metal is slightly thinner, no complaints, just to say.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I haven’t actually used these and I do wish the product specifications were less confusing to access. The website is pretty buggy. So, product a bit bigger than I would’ve thought. No big deal. Nice sign. Looks great quality though I haven’t plugged it in.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I need to find a UVB bulb that will work with this lamp. I've spent 2 hours trying to figure this out, and everything I've found is incompatible. Does anyone have a product they recommend?

  1. Most clamp lamps are not designed for uvb bulbs. They are particularly made for heat lights. Any uvb bulb that you put in a clamp lamp will most likely not project enough uvb for almost any reptile because of the orientation they are in, and the uvb output is next to none. Unless they are nocturnal. Even then that's a big maybe. Any of the smaller uvb bulbs should be placed horizontall with more surface area of the bulb exposed. What species do you have? How much uvb does your species need? Do you need high output uvb? Some questions to ask and answer. Your best bet would probably be to use a canopy type light fixture by zoo med or exo terra. Also, an aquarium canopy could be an option. Hope this helps.

Can I use it without the clamp?

Can it he used outside in barn

    1. Yes, as long as you have a place to plug it in or an extension cord.

Is this lamp good for pet birds

How does little ball go on to clamp

Will this work if I put the zoo med moonlight bulb in it?

Does the lightbulb come with it.

          1. No

          Does this lamp emit uvb?

          1. That would depend on the actual bulb put into it, which is sold separately.

can this work with UVB and basking lamp?

          1. The lamp  has to be able to handle the wattage of a UVB bulb which is at least a 100 watts and it can’t be a dimmable lamp. Otherwise it should be ok for both. It should also have a ceramic socket for a UVB bulb but not necessary for a basking lamp

Can the black metal reflector be removed so that it's just the bare bulb, fixture, and clamp?
