Science Diet is a brand of cat and dog foods made and marketed by Hill's Pet Nutrition, Inc. (a subsidiary of the Colgate-Palmolive Company).
Dr. Mark Morris' son, Dr. Mark Morris Jr., continued to help grow Hill's Pet Nutrition over the next several decades and noticed a demand for consistent, high-quality pet food. He developed a food for healthy pets, which, in 1968, made available through veterinarians and pet professionals as Hill's® Science Diet®. In 1976, the Colgate-Palmolive Company purchased Hill's Pet Nutrition.
The Hill's Science Diet products sold at Petco stores in the USA are made in the USA with global ingredients you can trust.
Hill’s Pet Nutrition has grain-free dog foods. These products are formulated with the best interests of pet health and well-being as our top priority. All of our grain-free dry dog foods have been fortified with taurine, as have other dry dog foods in our portfolio of carefully balanced complete nutrition pet foods. We invest considerable resources to understand emerging science about pets, their nutritional needs, and health and formulate accordingly. We continue to monitor any FDA updates on this matter as well as scientific developments and we support the FDA’s investigation.

Are grocery store foods and foods like purina and royal canin/science diet considered McDonald's for dogs? (Junk food) why or why not? Please explain. Also why are ingredients like corn, meat byproducts, wheat, soy, etc. considered healthy? These seem like filler ingredients to me. Aren't sweet potatoes, brown rice, peas and named meat meals healthier and more nutritious? What is the science behind corn and wheat etc. being nutritious or actually good and wholesome for dogs? Can someone explain?

I have been feeding grain-free for awhile to my 6 year old and kora my 1 year old. TOTW. Now with DCM going around I’m scared I’m in transition switching to hills science diet at the moment but people are getting echos done for their dogs, should I be worried? And is there a way the price is cheaper somehow? Thank you so much!

My 15-year-old Westy , I’ve been told by my vet only has 25% kidney function. What should I expect during this time for my Dear dear friend she has been with me for last 15 years we’ve lived together we are a team. She has already eating the science diet kidney food and she’s also taking a compounded script for stomach and hoping it binds to phosphate etc.
I've been feeding my puppy bland diet of rice and chicken and a little boiled pumpkin for the past 1 month. Recently he is constipated. Should i continue this diet or change it??
What is a bland diet for cats?
I have two cats, a 7 year old and an 11 year old. I've been giving them a mix of three types of dry food (Science Diet urinary health, Blue Buffalo healthy aging, and Blue Buffalo Indoor hairball control mature). Is this a good idea to mix these three together in their bowls? I just want them to get the benefits from these products as well and not get tired/develop an allergy from just one type of food constantly. Thank you!
What natural diet can help to grow long coat?
Hello! My 2 year old labradoodle has small red, pimple-like red bumps on his inner rear legs that are not going away w/ Benadryl. He isn't excessively licking or biting at them and he has been on the same diet forever. He eats a chicken/sweet potato Limited Ingredient Science Diet. He is blonde and I haven't noticed any fleas. When should I be worried and do you think I should take him into the vet right away? It has been the same for about 2 weeks now. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
