Maintain the beauty of your aquarium as well as the vitality of your fish with fish tank cleaners and aquarium supplies available at Petco.
There are ways to clean your tank without harming your fish. Such as replenishing 20% of the water at a time, or scrubbing the sides of the tank with a magnetic brush.
The right aquarium water care depends on your tank. Freshwater and saltwater tanks have different needs. At Petco we have conditioners, neutralizers and other water treatments to help clean your tank.
Every fish tank requires different maintenance. It’s best practice to replenish a quarter of the water in your tank at least once a month to help maintain pH levels and remove excess waste.

He's a full grown betta fish, I've had him for a little over half a year, adopted him from a friend. He has a filter and a heater in his tank & I try to stick with recommended products. As of the last couple months, his fins are curling up in the back and he will only eat one pellet every other day or so. I had been feeding him three pellets twice daily. Last week I started cleaning his 1 gallon tank twice a week instead of once a week, and am considering upgrading to a 2.5 gallon tank instead.
hello, i bought a fish tank last week ans followed all the instructions the lady gave me for example leave the water in there for 3 days before buying the fish, cleaning the decorations bought the liquid that promotes good bacteria ect. yesterday I bought the fish and put them in the water after they had sat in the bag in the water for half an hour. after a few hours they were swimming at the top trying to get air. 1 died today and im worried the other will do the same. what should i do?
