Milbemycin oxime is used as a heartworm preventive. It kills the immature form of the heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis), which is transmitted by a mosquito. My dog was administered her yearly vaccines and trifexis today. It has been over 4 hours since the trifexis and she is hiding, lethargic and breathing fast. Are these normal symptoms? She has never reacted to trifexis this way.
If I give my puppy TriFexis for the various worms and fleas, can I comebine it with anything to protect against ticks as well? TriFexis doesn’t cover ticks. I prefer an oral treatment versus topical or collars. Any recommendations? I can also swap out TriFexis but I still have 5 months worth of pills. Thank you.
i gave my puppy Bravecto, fluralaner chews, yesterday with his meal. and today his vet gave him his new dose of trifexis. should i wait until the bravecto wears off to give him his trifexis or would that mess up the continuity since he's been taking trifexis for a few months now. should i just give him both?

My dog recieved trifexis at the beginning of the month for heart worm prevention. My vet did not confirm what preventative he was on and he gave the pro heart injection. When I explained that he had trifexis they told me to watch for side effects and let them know. I was wondering what serious side I should look out for. He has not had any side effects from trifexis or the injection prior to this.

My dog was just spayed and developed an infection. She's taking Amoxi/Clav for the infection and Carprofen for pain and inflammation. I just realized her Trifexis is due today and the vet's office is closed. Is it safe to give her the Trifexis along with these two other medications?

I have 2 dogs and am bringing home a new puppy in a month. The puppy will, of course, get dewormings. My dogs are on Trifexis. A new vet says we should have our current dogs' stools tested for parasites before the puppy comes home. Is this overkill given that they are on Trifexis and the puppy will get dewormed?
