Pet parents everywhere have teamed up with Trifexis for triple parasite protection. Trifexis for dogs combines two powerful, active ingredients to provide your dog 3-way protection against fleas, heartworm disease and harmful intestinal worms.
Trifexis is a 3-way parasite protection against fleas, heartworm and intestinal worms available in a monthly chewable tablet.
Yes, when used according to the label directions, Trifexis has been demonstrated to be appropriate in healthy dogs. However, as with all medications, sensitivities in individual animals can occur, sometimes resulting in side effects. For complete safety information, carefully read your Trifexis label and consult your veterinarian.
Trifexis kills fleas and prevents infestations, prevents heartworm disease and treats and controls hookworm, roundworm and whipworm infections.
Administer one Trifexis tablet once every month to provide year-round protection.
Milbemycin oxime is used as a heartworm preventive. It kills the immature form of the heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis), which is transmitted by a mosquito. Milbemycin also kills adult hookworms, roundworms and whipworms. The spinosad in Trifexis prevents and controls flea infestations by killing adult fleas.

If I give my puppy TriFexis for the various worms and fleas, can I comebine it with anything to protect against ticks as well? TriFexis doesn’t cover ticks. I prefer an oral treatment versus topical or collars. Any recommendations? I can also swap out TriFexis but I still have 5 months worth of pills. Thank you.
My dog recieved trifexis at the beginning of the month for heart worm prevention. My vet did not confirm what preventative he was on and he gave the pro heart injection. When I explained that he had trifexis they told me to watch for side effects and let them know. I was wondering what serious side I should look out for. He has not had any side effects from trifexis or the injection prior to this.
My dog just started trifexis for his fleas. They said within 1 hour it should kill them. But he still continues to scratch a lot and it's been almost 3 days. Why could this be and how does trifexis actually work?
My dog keeps itching and yes he is on trifexis that is current
My dog was just spayed and developed an infection. She's taking Amoxi/Clav for the infection and Carprofen for pain and inflammation. I just realized her Trifexis is due today and the vet's office is closed. Is it safe to give her the Trifexis along with these two other medications?
My dog has been on Trifexis for about 5, and everything has been going great. However yesterday at around 12pm I gave my dog Trifexis, but I made the mistake of not giving her a big enough meal, so 6 hours later she had an upset stomach and vomited. My question is, do I have to reapply / give her another Trifexis pill for this month, (July), or within those 6 hours should it already be in her system? Also rest assured she’s perfectly fine, running around, eating, playing, and do great since
Can I give my puppy Trifexis and a dewormer/Febendazole at the same time?
My dog has dirrarea after few hours of consuming Trifexis what should I do?
We have 3 small dogs 2yr old, 1 1/2 yr old & 9 month old. About 2 months ago the youngest had an allergic reaction to Trifexis so we stopped using it. We would like to try Interceptor but some of the same ingredients are in it as Trifexis. Would it be safe to give him this new med? Should we steer clear of anything similar to Trifexis? Also they all just got spayed & neutered 3 days ago. Still a little soar so really don’t want them to puke or get sick. Thanks for ur help!
I have 2 dogs and am bringing home a new puppy in a month. The puppy will, of course, get dewormings. My dogs are on Trifexis. A new vet says we should have our current dogs' stools tested for parasites before the puppy comes home. Is this overkill given that they are on Trifexis and the puppy will get dewormed?
My 45 ib mixed breed 18 month dog is on trifexis. We are rving in a tick populated are and he has already had his trifexis on july 15th. Ive been told i can use frontline plus or k9 advantix for a solution for the tick issue. Is this a good option? It would only be for 1 to 2 months.
Does trifexis make puppies sick ? My puppy has been gagging and her stock has been gurgling Since I’ve given it to her
