While people have lounge chairs and sofas that allow them to rest their feet, there are bird perches available that serve a similar purpose for birds. When wild birds aren't flying, they're usually perched up on a branch or ledge either navigating their surroundings or resting. As there are various items that wild birds use as perches, there are special bird cage perches developed for pet birds. In addition, there is a wide array of perches available in different sizes, shapes and materials to accommodate the varying sizes and species of pet birds, such as natural wood parrot perches and a line of sand perches available in two sizes for small and medium-sized birds. Developed to provide pet birds with a stable source of heat during the winter or cold weather, there are even heated bird perches. Whether you and your pet birds prefer heated bird perches over an edible branch or cement branch, or even a perch swing, make the most of your pet bird's leisure time by providing him with the bird cage perches that allow his feet to rest.

What toys are the best for parakeets
I've been doing research before I get my cockatiel and one topic I've seen a lot of controversy on is sanding perches. Both on whether to use one or not and where to use it. If you advised to get one where do you advise me to put it? I saw some people say use it as your feeding perch so that the bird is forced to use that and other people say leave it elsewhere and the bird will use it as they choose?
My 8month old alexandrine parakeet is losing his leg grip while climbing height
Hi there! I was just wondering, what is a preening toy for birds?
Noticed our parrot "Beanie" is growing unsteady. He slips off his perches daily and seems to be favoring his left side, meaning perhaps he tweaked his left leg or foot. Maybe arthritis or pain in the leg. What can we do to narrow that down and help our bird.
Can you name some very exciting treats for birds? I've been trying to connect with my bird for a while now, I've had him for two months, but he still doesn't trust me. I was hoping to get him to like me with some treats.
I just got my parakeet yesterday and since getting him home he hasn't been eating or drinking. He has been using his perches and swings but not his bell toys. I'm a first time parakeet owner and I'm not sure if this is normal and I'm just very concerned. He is already comfortable with hands and can step up well, which makes him not eating more concerning to me.
Is there a type of bird cage for parakeets. We have two that are in a basic counter top cage but I wanted to get a bigger one. I was told not to get one with dome top. Is this correct?
Our 34 yr old amazon parrot is having issues with her feet. How would she be evaluated to check for arthritis. She is having a bit of trouble staying on her perches at times. She falls to the bottom of the cage but I also see her climb around her cage upside down quite often daily. Thanks for the help.
How would you know what type of food is best for your Budgie? Also what should I always keep a millet stick in their cage?
It is possible we could be taking in my friends two parakeets. Where do I start? I want to know how to care for them properly before possible owning them. Do you have any tips, tricks, must know things?
What types of frying pans, cookware, etc., can you cook in, that is safe for a Canary. Stove is about 10 feet away on one side, and Vent with food odors, is about 6 - 7 feet away.
