Keep your small pets happy with toys and more from Petco. Though they’re small, guinea pigs, ferrets, rabbits, hamsters and chinchillas all need engaging and fun accessories in their habitats. The right toys will encourage them to exercise, play, chew and entertain themselves. Even two of the same kind of pet may prefer completely different toy styles, so you should be prepared to test out different options. These are a few of the different toys you can choose for your playful critters:
That depends on your pet’s personality! One rabbit may prefer one chew toy over another, and two gerbils may prefer different exercise wheels. Be prepared to try a few toys until you find one your pet loves.
That depends on your small animal. Rabbits, ferrets, mice, rats, hamsters, chinchillas—they all have different habitat essentials beyond fresh food and water. Be sure to read our care sheets for small animals or ask a Petco partner for help.
Be sure to select toys specifically made for your small animal. And never overcrowd their cage with too many toys.
Yes! Though some animals prefer exercise wheels over tunnels, and pick bark chew toys over blocks. It’s important to get to know your pet’s preferences.

I am getting a hedgehog and have been told to get a small enclosed space to put in the cage for sleeping. Recommendations???
I am setting up a new habitat for my 2 sibling gerbils. I want it to be as natural of a habitat as their ancestors in the wild live in. Which substrate would you recommend that would be as natural as they would receive in their desert environment?
Trying to find a small pet that can roam around a room safely probably not a ferret because I have a hamster in the same room could a guinea pig or rabbit be Free roamed in the room or is there any other pets that could thank you
Best products to clean/disinfection cages & litter boxes? Preferably all natural products for a curious rabbit.
My fat cat is not very active and I don't know what toys to use-she usually play's with a small rubber type of toy but she sometimes eats the heads off She has a rubber grape she carries around Is this bad? Any toy recommendations?
Our hamster gets very jumpy in her cage and has been bar biting a little bit, she has a large cage with two wheels and goes in her exercise ball 4-5 times a week. She is better while handling but flinches in her cage, especially after it being cleaned. She also chatters her teeth a lot. Would any aroma help her feel more safe and relaxed?
So many people are creating natural hamster cages and using wood and plants in the cages... softwood seems to be bad for bedding.. but is there also a limit on wood when it comes to creating platforms, hideaways, and toys? Are plants also safe to put in there with them?
