How long is fresh dog food good for? Shelf life varies by product; see the expiration date on the package. In general, once thawed, fresh dog food can stay refrigerated for 2 to 5 days, but we recommend only defrosting what is needed for one meal at a time . See package for instructions. When bringing home fresh dog food, freeze as soon as possible.
With many wholesome options, consider trying a few to see which your dog prefers. Ask your veterinarian for recommendations.
Before feeding, allow frozen food to defrost in your refrigerator. Defrost one meal at a time. Never feed your dog partially frozen food, as this can pose a choking hazard or damage internal organs.

Would you recommend Fresh Pet food for my cat instead of dry kibble? Any opinions on Fresh Pet?
Hi, I'm wondering which is a better pet food for my dog. Either Fromm four star grain free beef frittata veg or a gently cooked grain free food called my perfect pet, beef and lamb blend? (Roxys & Knights) Are both equally as good? Please explain, thanks!
I wanted to give my dog 1/2 fresh cooked frozen dog food but her stools are not as good when I do that. She has better stools on just plain kibble. What should I do? The one on the right is when she was just fed kibble. The frozen dog food is 40% protein maybe it's just to rich for her. Her natural balance kibble is 21% protein. She gets the fish formula.

I'm having a hard time deciding between Fromm kibble and honest kitchen dehydrated dog food. I think honest kitchen is an excellent food but it's a little pricey. Is their a better choice here? Please explain? (The honest kitchen food is not raw but cooked at 165 degrees.)

With so many new options in the pet food market like lightly cooked foods and raw is kibble inferior to these new options? Why or why not?
