Zoo Med guarantees the materials and workmanship of the Repti Therm UTH for a period of one year from date of purchase. If heater should fail during this time, simply mail heater and your purchase receipt back to Zoo Med for a replacement. Please include a note explaining failure. Zoo Med Laboratories, Inc., 3100 McMillan Road, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. No other guarantees apply, whether expressed or implied.

120 vac, 60 hZ, 24 watts. Instructions Peel adhesive paper off back of heater and "stick" to the underside of your terrarium. Zoo Med recommends you place heater on either the right or left side of terrarium and gently rub heater to make firm contact with the bottom glass. This allows one side of your terrarium to be warmer than the other, thus giving your animals a natural temperature variance. Helpful Hints Use Zoo Med's high-range reptile thermometer to monitor the temperature of your terrarium. Should your terrarium be in a particularly cold area you may need to add an additional Repti Therm UTH heater or Zoo Med's Repticare Rock Heater. Caution Do not use the Repti Therm UTH Heater on plastic or wood terrariums. Provide adequate ventilation below pad to prevent overheating. Product includes eight-page illustrated Instruction Book with complete instructions, cautions, and frequently asked questions.

Sticker paper came off in pieces, now unusable

Courtney7

The paper backing for the adhesive side came off in chunks instead of one entire sheet. I had to pluck pieces of it off the adhesive. I honestly don't feel safe using this as I'm afraid that I may have missed a small piece of stuck paper, which could possibly cause a fire. I wasted a good chunk of money on something that doesn't even work. I've never encountered this issue with heating mats before this.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Works pretty good.

Works fine as long as ambient temperature outside the enclosure is above 70 degrees fahrenheit otherwise the temp will steadily fall in my aquarium. I have it on a mostly sealed 20 gallon tall aquarium and attached it to the back to heat a couple hermit crabs.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This worked well. When placed on the side of the “warm side” of the terrarium, it increased the temperature in our 40 gallon by a full 5 degrees.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Don't expect too much

I believe this is rated for 40-50 gallon tanks. I used it on a 30 gallon tank and it only creates a temperature of 80 degrees right next to it. Maybe I expected too much. We live in SoCal and the tank is in one of our warmer bedrooms.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Above opening sags..

Beautiful tank. Problem is, the top center sags because there is no support where the doors open. It is very loud and jerky, scaring our leopard gecko every time- even when trying to be extra gentle. If this was fixed- it would get 5 stars!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Weird ? Yes, but, if I lay this on the bottom of a fabric drawer (not underneath) and put a little blanket on top will that be ok or will it be too hot to cause a fire? I have a 65lb 12ft snake who loves this one drawer :)

Can I use it with insulation?

    1. I have duct taped it to the bottom of my glass enclosure because the sides stopped staying up. I recommend using a thermostat all the time but especially when you are using duct tape. I have set the thermostat as high as 100 in winter and never had an issue taping it to the underside of the enclose.

What am I doing wrong? Purchased an off brand replica, and the glue separated from the pad. Purchased this brand and it still falls off the bottom after it warms up? Yes cleaned it prior.

how hot does this usually get, is there a temperature control?

      1. Warm, not too hot. No temp control available. It brings the tank up a few degrees, I have it mounted on the side of the tank

What should I use for a 75 gallon tank? It's for my ball python

Will this work under tank for aquatic turtle

        1. No, get an aquarium under water heater

What size should I get for a 20L tank

        1. 20L is a 30 gallon tank, so you would use the medium size.

Can I put this on a wooden cage?

        1. In the “details” part of the description, it says that you shouldn’t use it with a wooden cage. I think you might be able to put it on a wooden cage if the heater were smaller, but i’m no expert, so definitely check on that.

Is this okay to use on a 40 gallon breeder? I've already received it in the mail and it says it is for 50-60 gallon tanks.

        1. You should always use a thermostat with a UTH. As long as you stabilize the temps (a heat gun is also a wise buy) before you put your animal in, you should be able to use the larger heater with your 40 gallon tank.

What are the dimensions of this heater?

        1. Hello, The large under tank heater is 8" X 18" and must be used on enclosures that are 50-60 gallons or larger.
