[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Zila heat mat works and it was easy to apply to the aquarium surface. I am covering it with some rock and gravel and it seems to be warm for the lizard. My only complaint is that its size is smaller than I expected.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a yellow spotted gecko aptly named “Lemon” who is just about the cutest thing in the world and she lives in a 75 gallon terrarium tank. I use Zilla terrarium heater and have been using it for the last 4 years. Lemon loves the heater and is often seen around the area where the heater is mounted under the tank. She loves sleeping in that area esp during winter months. It works and is durable. 4 years and going! I am so happy that I received the Zilla Terrarium Heater for 10-20 gallon tanks for the times that I need to place her in her 10 gallon tank when I need to clean her main tank. This will keep her cozy and safe!

- I wouldn’t use it for sea monkeys b/c it would get WAY too hot unless it was on a thermostat. I raise my brine shrimp at room temperature.

can i use this heat mat at night and turn my heat lamp off?
- I’d honestly put it on a thermostat so that it doesn’t get too hot(for either a mat or a heat light). Ceramic bulbs are a good alternative to heat sources that put off light and heat. They produce heat, with no light to disrupt the normal day/night cycle.
