Very happy with Zoo Med products, always have been! After reading many reviews, as well as other reviews on other sites too, people think that the brightness of the light output equates to uvb output which is not the case! Uva is the physical brightness of the light while uvb is the radiation from the light. You cannot see the uvb spectrum... Just because it isn't bright, doesn't mean they're not getting the uvb they need, unless the bulb is old, like 6-12 months old, then you should change it. Again, brightness does not equate to uvb output. Hope this helps someone! Good luck people!

Stop emitting light after using it for less then a week

This is an excellent lamp for my box and water turtles. I haven’t had any issues with reptisun and my turtles benefit.

I bought this little over a week ago and our Red Eared Slider loves it. She spends several hours a day under it and her basking light. Before she wasnt really wanting to get out of the water but now soon as the lights click on in the morning she is up and under them. One Happy Turtle!!

I bought this for my daughter’s chameleon and it was exactly what she needed for his habitat.
