Choose from flavors including krill, brine shrimp, and bloodworms; there are even vegetarian options available if that’s what your aquatic amigo is into. All of the frozen fish food products sold at Petco have been gamma-irradiated to remove a risk of harmful bacteria or parasites being introduced to your aquarium.
Frozen fish food can be a good choice for feeding your fish in moderation, but it is not necessarily better than other types of fish food. In general, you should provide your fish with a varied diet that includes both fresh and frozen foods in order to ensure they are getting all of the nutrients they need for optimal health and wellbeing.
Yes, it is recommended to defrost frozen fish food prior to serving it to your fish. You can do this by leaving the frozen food out at room temperature for a few minutes or running it under warm water until it is thawed. Additionally, some manufacturers offer pre-thawed frozen food that can be fed directly to your fish without any extra preparation.
Generally speaking, it is not recommended to feed your fish frozen food on a daily basis. You should feed your fish in moderation and supplement their diet with fresh foods such as live or frozen brine shrimp, bloodworms, feeder shrimp, etc.

My Betta fish keeps spitting out its food. I feed it "XL color granules" mixed with "color flakes" its tank mate is a molly. I heard you can get bloodworms and soak them in garlic guard and they will eat it. Is this true? Thank you. -Cristina
I have recently found out that bloodworms are a good treat for my aquatic animals even for one that I got today I tried feeding bloodworms and it didn’t seem interested I gave some to my current fish and they weren’t interested either these bloodworms came out of a bottle that you would typically put any fish food in. Am I suppose to prepare them somehow or are they just not interested
I found really small fish in a freshwater pond and dont know what to fees them . What should i do ?
Hi, I'm planning on getting a betta fish and I'm wondering what foods are best for it
Best foods for 29gallon tank with 4Rosaline Sharks, 4Congo Tetras, 1large bushy nosed plecostamus. Vitamins?
I don't know what to feed my glass catfish we've tried shrimp pellets algae tablets in the flakes nothing seems to catch his attention so we are getting alive food next if live food doesn't work we will return him to the pet store
I brought my two fishes inside a bottle for 2 hours while I travelled back home from hostel. Mistakenly I forgot to take their food along with. I also didn't know what brand I was feeding so I bought Optimum fish food to feed them. But they aren't eating the food. Are they stressed due to the journey or the food isn't correct for them. What should I do please suggest.
Type of food they eat Type of water to use
I want to make sure my dog has adequate amounts of omega 3 in her diet. I give her a fish oil capsule daily. If I also give her a fish based kibble (eg. Orijen six fish) several times per week (3-4) would this also help with getting more omegas in? the only drawback is having two bags of kibble open at once. One 4/5 pound bag lasts me 30 days. So the bags would be open for about two months. I figure that this is still ok. They are usually resealable bags. If not I use a bag clip.
Can I feed a Betta Fish bloodworms every day?
I'm not sure if this can be considered a "vet question," but I heard it was ok to feed your betta fish shrimp. If this is true, I was wanting to give him a tiny tiny bit but our shrimp was expired. Can he still have it? Thank you!
I’ve overfed my two gold fish giving them 2 pinches of fish flakes (I got them today) and I have been told to give them size of their eye and if I feed them more it is leathal. What do I do.
