Questions
How many outlets does this have? Also I live in Massachusetts so it shows a lot in the winter and I don't want my future beardies to be freezing so will a under tank heater be enough at night?
- it has two

Can I use lamps with a switch on this or will I have to manually flip the switch still?
- You'll leave the switches on. They'll automatically switch back and forth. If you turn the switches off they won't work.

What kind of light/s do I need with this timer?
- I have a ball python so I use a zoo med daylight bulb and an exo terra infrared night time bulb. The night bulb is red, you'll read people say you shouldn't use it because it disturbs the reptile but that's nonsense. They see green and blue spectrum and use their own infrared vision to pick up heat. They would see the heat pattern weather you could see the red or not. Hope this helps!

Can this be connected to my thermostat that I use or does it come with it's own thermostat? I don't leave the lights on for my snakes all the time. They are connected to a thermostat to regulate the temperature.
- It would be pointless to plug your thermostat into this unless you only want it on during the day or night, you can't have both. It's more for switching a day light to night light on a time schedule that's the same.

Bought this, brought it home and set it up and when it switched to night time it blew my bulb. Any clue as to why that would happen?
- Most likely your bulb was bad. It's probably just a coincidence. The voltage it sends is the same as any other plug you would use.
