A healthy reptile provided with a clean habitat should not put off any offensive odor, however regular maintenance of the habitat and removal of waste is necessary. While reptiles shouldn't need a bath like your dog or cat, some species will benefit from a good soak in lukewarm, chlorine-free water, especially when shedding.
Your reptile should be secured in a safe location away from the habitat while cleaning to prevent any exposure to fumes. Substrate can be spot cleaned daily and should be changed every 1 - 2 weeks or as necessary and the habitat and accessories disinfected with a non-toxic, reptile-safe habitat cleaner or 3% bleach solution.
Aquatic turtle habitats can be cleaned in a similar way to a fish aquarium by using a siphon to remove water and waste as needed. Any disinfection of habitat or accessories should be done with a non-toxic, reptile-safe habitat cleaner or 3% bleach solution and thoroughly rinsed before refilling with water or reintroducing your turtle.
Healthy, clean reptiles should not put off an odor. Feces should be removed from the habitat as necessary to prevent your pet from crawling through waste. If your reptile does need to be cleaned from exposure to waste, you can take a cloth with lukewarm chlorine-free water and gently clean your pet, although some species may prefer an entire soak in water.

What are some recommendations of enzymatic cleaners? - to clean cat urine spraying. Also looking for cleaning products for mopping the floor and general household cleaners that are enzyme cleaners.
I had a ball python with a respiratory infection that I had to relocate to a warmer environment during his illness. I have washed the enclosure with bleach, rinsed, then hit it with chlorahexidine, then rinsed it with hot water. How long before I can put a healthy snake in that enclosure without risking their health?
How should you care for your reptile during a power outage?
My dog got too excited and I think he expressed his anal glands. He smells really bad. How do I get rid of the odor? Do you recommend any products? Also, how do I prevent this from happening again?
my cat knocked over natures miracle enzymatic urine cleaner and got it all over him, we washed as much as we could off of him but his tail still smells like it will it make him sick.
Have 2 male 4-month old brothers (orange tabby's. The area by their cat tree is always damp (believe they are peeing or spraying) yet they do use litter boxes. 1 litter box near the tree and 1 in our hall bath. Both cleaned regularly throughout the day. I'm baffled why the continued wetting the carpet. Also what is the best odor/stain eliminator product. We do have an 11 y.o. dog but they seem to get along okay. Thank you!
Would reptaid help for a baby sulucta tortoise which I think has runny nose syndrome?
Last week when cleaning Sebastian's cage, I tripped and broke the corner of his tray. I glued it back together, but I was wondering, can I use Clorox wipes to clean his tray in stead of soap and water? I don't want the glue to come off and have to re glue the corner. I'm unsure if I should use the wipes because I don't want him to get hurt in anyway.
My cat just had surgery on his back on his leg, my question is after he uses the bathroom what should I use to clean up anything from getting into it?
Lemon's anal glands regularly release a pungent odor and sometimes leak. She doesn't display any discomfort and produces at least one (firm) bowel movement daily. What can we do to stop her anal glands from leaking and spreading her scent around the house?
Toadie being a terrier is of course a little terrorist to whatever critter he comes across on the farm. He come up on a juvenile skunk couple nights ago and went into kill mode snatched it up and began thrashing it. Apparently although it was too young to spray toadie, which he's had the pleasure of a couple times already, her burst the scent sac in his mouth. How dangerous is this and what can be done to get rid of the scent which still permeates from his mouth now two days later.
Hello, we have a cat who is paralised in the tail and has no control of toileting. How would we be able to move him and keep him inside the house or someway that he doesnt escape but we can keep the place clean.
