An all-in-one aquarium ensemble includes many of the items you’ll need to create an underwater habitat before bringing home your new aquatic pets. When you purchase an aquarium kit, you can expect to unbox the typical items—including your tank, LED lighting, filtration, heating device and stand/cabinet. Most aquarium starter kits will also include the essential items such as filter cartridges, premium fish food samples, water conditioners, fishnet, thermometers and set up guides.
To set up a new fish tank, you’ll want to get a complete aquarium starter kit.
Your fish tank starter kit will typically include:
Discover everything you need to keep your new freshwater fish happy.
After you add water, gravel, plants and finish setting up the fish aquarium kit, allow your tank’s water temperature and pH to stabilize over at least 48 hours before adding your new fish pets. We recommend only adding a few fish at a time as new fish pets are sensitive to the levels of ammonia present in your tank. Here are some tips for what to know about your new freshwater fish.
With a 5-gallon aquarium kit, you can keep about 4 to 6 small fish. Make sure each fish is no larger than two inches, and as a general rule of thumb, allow one inch of fish per gallon of aquarium. Tetras are great fish for small tanks.
Whether you’ve got a 10-gallon fish aquarium kit or a 20-gallon fish aquarium kit, the process is relatively similar. If this is your first time being a fish parent, starting with a 10- or 20-gallon aquarium kit and filling it with smaller, hardier species is a good idea. Place your aquarium in an area that won’t be impacted by external light and heat sources, away from windows and heater vents.
Rinse your aquarium and any items going in it with water before setting up. Add the gravel and any plants and decorations, and then the water. Install your heater, hook up your filter and place the hood and tank light on the aquarium. Looking for some cool fishes to accompany a goldfish in a 5 gallon tank. Please help Jameson (my fish) beat his case of loneliness!! We appreciate the weird and quirky looking ones! Help!
What types of plants are suitable for a 24L tank with 2x shrimp, 3x snails, 2x Platies, 5x danios?
So I've been thinking about getting an axolotl, but I'm a bit confused as I've never had any type of aquarium. My question is: I've been told to get an Aquaclear 50 HBO filter (plus a sponge one for extra bio media), and to slow the flow by placing plants and things under it. But this specific model's slowest flow is 250 l/h, which might be too little for a 90l tank. But if I set it up to 370 or so (which I find would be the best), the flow might be too strong for the axie! Any solutions? <3

Is this a good setup for Nighthawk, the first photo is the over all setup, the second one is the side view and the third is the water and calcium dishes. I use an under tank heater that stays at about 88 degrees Fahrenheit and the vines are fake. He has a warm hide and a cold hide with moss in it that’s i spray down every other day. The little box is another little hide that I can see him in. And the background is tile it paper rolls that were painted(they were left to dry for two weeks)
We are new to having aquariums, we really didn't realize so many things played a factor with the water. We currently have a 10 gallon tank but want to increase to a 29 gallon tank. We currently buy gallons of water but with the 29 gallon tank we really don't want to have to do that. We have well water with a salt filter. My levels from to tap was nitrate 10, nitrite 0, hardness 0, chlorine 0, alk 100, ph 7.. is my tap water safe even with the salt filter.
Best foods for 29gallon tank with 4Rosaline Sharks, 4Congo Tetras, 1large bushy nosed plecostamus. Vitamins?
