I bought this for my son’s 4th birthday in May. Got it all set up and waited a week before letting him pick out fish. Noticed when putting the fish in that the water level had dropped about 1/2 inch….got the fish settled in and adjusted the water level back to where it should be. Another week goes by and water level is low again. I thought hmmm maybe it’s evaporating. Fill the water level back to normal and start really watching it with daily measurements. After a month I’ve lost almost 2 inches of water…sure enough there’s a leak water seeping through all the horribly sealed seams on this tank. Check the manufacturer’s website to see there’s only a 90 day warranty….makes sense with such crappy quality to offer such a minimal warranty.

pretty good quality but was a bit confused about the lid since i had to break off a lil part for the filter. I never seen anything like that before so just a little confusing but not a reason to avoid buying it! Just be wary it does sound like your breaking the thing when popping it off even if you cut the lil tabs with scissors and the filter doesn’t come with a bib or anything to control flow so depending of the fish, it may be too strong so i suggest breaking up the flow with a little bit of aquarium sponge or a water bottle, or get a sponge filter!

Bought this a little while ago. Within 3 months - heating bulb died. Now the water filter doesn't work anymore. Just stopped working and won't start again. I'd suggest a different product unless you're going to buy your own stuff outside of the tank because you get a good deal, but you pay for it in the end with the price of having to rebuy the bulk of the items.

My daughter bought this aquarium with her own money. We got it home and set up ti find out that the filter was broken. We weretold we needed to vring the whole thing back that just exchanging the filter was not an option. So we emptied the already set up tank fish and all to exchange everything. There was a phone number to call on the box but being a Saturday that phone number was of no use. It would be a week before we would get a new filter. I am disappointed with how this was handled. There had to be another solution than us emptying an entire aquarium just for the filter. Not to mention trying not to loose the fish that were purchased.

Not for beta fish

I bought this tank for my beta fish. Unfortunately the filter is too strong for the beta. He was getting sucked in to the water current from the filter. I kept the tank. Ordered another, less aggressive filter off of Chewy.

    PLEASE, I regret buying this because I realized that I could have saved a lot of money, but anyways, I want to replace the lights because they are an ugly yellowish color, 2 bulbs. Any recommendations? Thank you
