I bought a few baby Bettas, the person at the Petco counter TOLD ME that these fish CAN STAY in the tubs they came in (NOT BAGS) until they get too big! If they can live in these tubs at the store cant they live in the tubs in my loving home?? How big is too big? I have bee told they have to be moved to a BIG tank, like, 2 or 3 gallons, is there any way I can get cheap ones?? My betta fish has fin rot, it’s progressing very fast. Within a day there’s a noticeable difference. He’s in a 55 gallon glofish tank(I tried multiple dividers and he kept escaping with no injuries) yesterday I put some betta fix medicine but it took the whole bottle, didn’t even get the desired dose for the tank. What type of fish can I keep with my adult male betta fish, he is in a 3 gallon tank.
He's a full grown betta fish, I've had him for a little over half a year, adopted him from a friend. He has a filter and a heater in his tank & I try to stick with recommended products. As of the last couple months, his fins are curling up in the back and he will only eat one pellet every other day or so. I had been feeding him three pellets twice daily. Last week I started cleaning his 1 gallon tank twice a week instead of once a week, and am considering upgrading to a 2.5 gallon tank instead.
We have a Betta baby girl fish. We have the Marina Betta EZ Care tank. We added more water to clean it (instructions say so) and now the water is cloudy and merky. Did we do something wrong?
