Just terrible products

Within 6 months, both sets of LED lights in the hoods died. At 8 months, the silicone failed and it sprang a leak. I was able to successfully patch the silicone. After another 6 months, the second set of hood lights died. Aqueon customer service was super awesome- they sent replacement hoods and then ultimately refunded the amount I paid for the whole thing. I put that money toward upgrading the lights and hoods- NOT Aqueon brand. Do yourself a favor and JUST BUY A BASIC AQUARIUM AND PICK OUT DIFFERENT BRAND ACCESSORIES.

I've had it up and working for less than 3 weeks. The lights in both hoods have broken. Very shoddy. Put in an email to Aqueon about this but have very little faith they'll do anything or care at all other than quote replacements after reading several other reviews. Very frustrating.

Pump went out after one week. Tank itself is fine. Lid and lights are fine. I had to use my Walmart pump to actually get my water clear though. Don’t recommend the pump it comes with at all. It’s not strong enough for a new set up. Maybe for maintaining a small amount of fish if it doesn’t break. Petco was helpful and said I could exchange it with no problem.

Yes, I recommend this product.

i bought this 7 mouths ago in the first mouth the filter broke 2 times now the lights stopped working call customer service 79.00 dollars to replace the hood lights. 59.00 to replace the filter. after spending all ready spending over 300 dollars on the kit and stand. what will brake next never agen .

I have had this aquarium for a little over a year, I think. The aquarium itself works well, as does the filter. However, this nonsense LED lighting went out fairly quickly. To make matters worse, a replacement lid is over $60 (and this tank needs 2). I would not necessarily say "Don't buy this," because it might be a good deal if on sale. However, just understand that if the lighting goes out, the cost can be over $100. I'm very disappointed about this.

I bought this less than six months ago and the LED lights on one side are already out! Very disappointed for the price of this that the lights would stop working already. We have several other tanks that are a lot older than this one and have had no issues!!

Center Brace Broke at 1 year- Poor Quality.

I have had this for 1 year and today the center brace broke and the aquarium is severely bowing and about to bust. Flimsy thin plastic. This aquarium has had no abnormal stress or strain- this is just poor quality. Very disapposinted.

    The lights on one side if mine have been out for awhile as well. The only real replacement i could find was a light bar and a clear lid that would fit the one side. I was unsuccessful in my search to buy only one half of the lid OR replace the led lights. Not convenient.
