The filter is a little bit oversold with its supposed two minute cycling. The aquarium is a nice kit with a light, filter, and lid. It's attractive. However, I can tell you with certainty that a horizontal tank is the way to go with aquatic buddies. They tend swim horizontally. Duh! Going up and down is work. It's extra work and less horizontal exploration. So I only use this one as a bucket and a backup.

my boyfriend and i had purchased this product from the oak lawn/chicago ridge location in the beginning of last month. it worked great until it started leaking while we were at work. we had nothing to put our betta in so, we had to ask a family member to put him in a kitchen bowl until we get home. definitely would not recommend! we literally had this tank for just over a month!

I bought a White Opel Male Betta Fish and this tank about 2 months ago. I absolutely love it! Looks beautiful in my kitchen. The basic starter aquarium equipment comes with the tank. You have to purchase the decor separately.

I love this tank so much. It comes with a small filter, led lighting (only white), and a lid so don't worry about other pets. Plants are not included. The filter does come with 1 cartridge but you need to switch it at least once a month. Petco does sell the exact same cartridge in packs of 2. Just search "coconut cartridge" and the same size and same type will show up. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Definitely recommend to anyone who. wants a small tank and doesn't want to spend too much.

How do I know if the filter is working or if I have to buy a new one? I don't have the directions anymore, and although I feel the tank slightly vibrate, I don't see the filter constantly flowing filtered water through the opening.

Hi bigbooby, Good day! LED Bulbs don’t burn out like traditional bulbs, but rather they slowly degrade over time, eventually diming in brightness. LED bulbs last on average between 35,000 and 50,000 hours. Thanks
