I just purchased this tank for my son for his birthday, and it has a single betta in it now. It seems the betta is getting pulled near the filter. Could it be too strong? Should the filter be inside the tank, or hanging outside? Worried I did wrong. Thank
- This tank did the same with mine. The stock filter is actually too strong for a betta. I replaced mine with a softer filter, with an adjustable flow, so my fishy would get caught in it.

What filter cartridges do I use for this filter?
- I use the Medium Whisper Bio Bag. I personally like them and feel that they work really good.

Is this filter too strong for betta fish? I want to get a betta and have been researching tanks for two females or one male.
- No it isn't. We are using it as a nursery tank for 50+ newly born cichlids. We had to put netting over the filter intake to stop the babies from getting sucked into it, but betas would be fine in it!

Can I use this for betta fish?
- Absolutely not. Bettas need at least 10 gallons of water. A 5 gallon is far too small even for one betta. This 5-gallon tank could be suitable for some shrimp and snails, but that's about it.

Does it come with dècor or/and gravel? If it doesn’t and it is just the tank, that is one horrible price!
- No gravel or decor comes with it, but it includes everything else. Try pricing what you would pay for tank, filter, filter cartridge and heater separately and I think you see it a good price.

Two questions: Are the tanks now improved so leaking won't happen? Can you put a beta fish in this tank?
- Not all of them leaked. sometimes they just screw up and make a bad tank. and you can return it if it leaks at the start..... and yes. you could keep 1 male betta or 2-3 female bettas In this tank
