Globs of epoxy in the corners and smeared across the glass and half of the lights stopped working after six months. The replacement is $70. Poor quality. If you've got the money, buy something better.

Mysteriously shattered

I bought this tank 2 months ago, I've done several water changes, brought multiple kinds of fish in, decorated w plants, rocks, moss, hiding spots, drift wood, etc. I hadn't had any issues with any of the side pieces like the heater or thermometer, but tonight I woke up at 1 am, to the glass shattered and a huge ongoing stream of water into my bedroom carpet. It just kept flooding, it broke how a windshield breaks when a rock hits it, though, no rock hit my tank, because there's no current, and no fish could pick it up or move them. I genuinely would not reccomend this tank, the glass is thin, and the building frame is flimsy. Right when I picked it up to assemble it I notice, but I decided to be hopeful, and keep it going. Didn't even last 3 months before it shattered, and had to relocate my fish to my previous tank. (PS. Would not reccomend when a friend's sleeping at your house)

I’m very happy with this aquarium. I needed something quickly to fish sit my granddaughter’s goldfish and algae eater. I went ahead and purchased three angelfish along with the aquarium and they are all doing great.

Just picked our aquarium up and checked it out when we got home. There's either scratches or glue on the one side of the tank. I took rubbing alcohol to it and it's not coming off at all so I'm guessing it's scratches. Pretty bummed since we drove 45 minutes one way to get it and paid over 100 for it.

I wanted to get back into fish so I bought the starter kit to save some money. The corners all looked like they had been broken and then repaired. There was glue all over the glass and the heater that came in the box was a 100 watts and did not have a dial to adjust the temperature.

Hood lighting issues

I bought this in August and wanted to see how it did. I don't mind the huge globs of glue in the corners but the light doesn't always work. In order to replace it the hoods are around $70. Not worth buying the kit when you have to replace parts a few mo ths later.

Looking for an aquarium background I would do length x height? The backgrounds im looking at are confusing me on their sizing options
- You need to get one that is 18" high by 30" long. If you get one that is larger you can trim with scissors.

Is it possible to replace the light to a blue light? and if so how can I order?
- The hood comes with a series of lights already fitted for the hood. I suppose you could remove these, but they cannot be replaced with a different light. I currently am not using my hood lights and purchased a light that suctions to the hood. Technically, you could use any light you want as long as it has a way to attach to the underside of the hood. Hope this helps.

Can the heater be set to a determined temp say 80 degrees?
- No, in the kit you get the present heater that turns off and on to reach 78 degrees, no adjustments.

- They are generally the packaging dimensions you see listed. The actual tank dimensions for the 29 are 30 1/4" L x 12 1/2" W x 18 3/4” T.

How far out from the wall does this aquarium sit with the filter attached on the back?
- From the back rim of the tank to the back of the filter is approx 2 inches of space to account for.
