Get It Today
Purchasing an aquarium kit can be a great way to get your new aquatic hobby started! Kits often come in unique sizes and shapes that will have your aquarium standing out from the standard rectangular tanks. Kits typically include lighting, filtration and occasionally other accessories such as a heater, fish net or even sample fish food to get you started, all bundled up in a price discounted from what it would be if you bought everything individually.
The general rule of thumb is one inch of adult fish per gallon of water. Consideration must always be given to the adult size of the fish for proper sizing.
Kits can come in unique shapes and sizes, sometimes different from standard aquariums to give you a more personal setup. They often come with multiple basic accessories at a discounted price compared to purchasing each item individually.
Your aquarium will need to be completely set up with filtration and heater running for at least 24-48 hours before adding any fish. The water may still be cloudy at this point so you should wait until it has cleared. If the water temperature has remained stable and the cloudiness has cleared, you are now ready to begin the cycling process of your new tank and can add a few hardy species (dependent on the size of your aquarium).

Is it suitable to make a 1 feet marine tank. What fish should i keep in it?
We are new to having aquariums, we really didn't realize so many things played a factor with the water. We currently have a 10 gallon tank but want to increase to a 29 gallon tank. We currently buy gallons of water but with the 29 gallon tank we really don't want to have to do that. We have well water with a salt filter. My levels from to tap was nitrate 10, nitrite 0, hardness 0, chlorine 0, alk 100, ph 7.. is my tap water safe even with the salt filter.

We recently bought a 20 gallon fish tank for our house. The tank is currently only holding 16 gallons of water. We currently have 11 fish and 2 snails in the aquarium, totaling to 16 inches of fish (if you count the snails as fish). That’s following the gallon per inch of fish rule. However, my family wants to add more fish. Would we be safe to add more fish or should we stick with the 13 fish we have?
Is this tank big enough/small enough to hold goldfish fry (these fish will not be in it we are just cleaning up there other tank)
Hi I currently have 2 young goldfish, 1 Young zebra danio, and one black mystery snail! I own a 5.5 gallon tNk for my current fish and I know it isn’t big enough since I know hat goldfish can grow to a large size. What would be a suggested size gallon tank for my little fish family?

I’m getting a 20 gallln tank and I would like to know what are the best tropical freshwater fish that I could get? I would like to get a pleco, but he would get to big for my tank, so I’m wondering if I could donate him to my locomotive petco in The Dalles Oregon? Thank you I love PetCoach!!!
