Nice tank but not great. The tank itself is a nice size. The filter is do not like at all. You can not take the filter cartridge out without taken the light off. There 3 area in filter cartridge to hold pads, floss, etc but the water does not through each one at a time. The water return needs to be a 90 degree so water would flow better around inside the tank. The way it is now there will be low flow area that will build up waste. The lad does not cover all of water so fish can jump out. If you can just by a 20gal JBJ AIO Tank if you can. I have 2 and are much better.

I bought this about 5 weeks ago. The pump on the filter has already quit, and the light needed modification to not tilt from day one. The lid came cracked and I didn’t ask for a replacement because I had a piece of glass I could cut but at this point I wish I had returned it when I received it with the cracked lid. I bought it because the set up looked clean altogether but I only have a functional tank and worry every day if that will give out any moment after the other components have given up the ghost already.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this aquarium and the size is excellent,, it’s long and very nice looking. I changed the filter for a fluval C2 and the light for a Finnex planted+ CRV light. My betta fish loves it. I have the amazon frogbit plants on top. The glass is very clear, quality glass. It’s difficult to find a 10 gallon aquarium that is 24” inches long. It has the lid, designed to put a power filter on the back like the one I used.

Yes, I recommend this product.

How is the lid attached and would it survive a cat accidentally jumping on it?

The lid sits on the tank with 4 clips, so 2 on each side, It is about 7 inches wide and the full width of the tank l. Even though it's heavy glass, I don't think I would trust a cat jumping on it due to weight and the fact that it slides easily, which is good for feeding/maintenance but maybe not a cat!
