I have tried several brands of litter, but I always come back to this. I just ordered 11bags because it was on sale. A bit expensive but easier for me to scoop and seems to last longer. I have over 10 cats and 3 new kittens who just showed up at my door.

I quit using the multicat type for my two adult cats when packaging was switched from a recyclable cardboard box to a heavy plastic bag. Although I could recycle the bag, I generaly avoid plastic if possible. Recently I decided to try the Comfort Car style. Sadly, I'm finding the litter is very dusty and my kitty is leaving footprints everywhere. Additionally, the bag is a plastic resin code of 7 which is not recyclable.

As per usual, the litter I usually buy (unscented grass seed) was out of stock so I bought this corn-based nonsense instead. Within a week, my cat was sneezing constantly. I couldn't figure out what the issue could be. Then I took the litter away --when I was able to get the grass seed one-- and 'miracle'... the sneezing stopped by the next day. When you pour this in the litter box you'll see it too...loads of dust floats up in the air. Glad I didnt take my cat to the vet to get a $$ diagnosis of "he's healthy, not sure what's wrong."

No, I do not recommend this product.

Is this suitable for use in an automatic litterbox?

    No, I wouldn't, unless one is meticulous at keeping the machine clean. Feces aren't the problem, urine is. A friend of mine had one of those machines so I've seen (and smelled) the result of thinking the thing is litter magic. With World's Best, you can put a standard litter box in the bathroom, pick and flush the kitties' potty when you go yourself, and you'll never have litter box smell in your home, nor "perfume" or chemicals getting on kitty feet and into their belly when foot washing takes place. I hope this helps folks decide and no, I don't work for World's Best.

    You would need the 28# bag. Should be enough to fill all 3 boxes, then top them off for about a month.

    We clean the litter box completely ie, discard litter and wash pan, etc. 1x/month and the litter lasts - we add to it over the month of course as we scoop
