Fill your clean litter box with 2-3 inches of Fresh Step litter. Additional Fresh Step litter is recommended if the litter box is used by more than one cat. This is a No Clump, Just Dump litter. Empty the entire litter box as needed, usually about once a week. Dispose of used litter in trash. Remove solid waste daily and dispose of in the trash. Sprinkle additional Fresh Step litter in the litter box each time you remove solid waste to help keep the litter box fresh. Do not flush down the toilet or drain.
As a reminder, especially to pregnant women and immunosuppressed persons, cat feces can sometimes transmit a disease called toxoplasmosis. Therefore, always remember to wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter. For further information, consult your doctor. Unused cat litter poses no toxoplasmosis threat. Hello my cat is an inside and out cat, I live in Florida. I have two litter boxes for him it is a clumping brand so it's an easy clean up, he has no problem using them. the question is the box I have put outside is clumping with out my cat using it, and when it does start to clump he doesn't use the one out side.... but still uses the box with the same litter inside. Which litter should I use out side?
I just adopted mittens from my local shelter on June 8. When I brought him home he was very scared. Now he has settled in our home. I found out that mittens doesn’t like scented litter and was refusing to use the litter box. So I bought him arm and hammer unscented litter. I put him in the litter box and he sniffed it and jumped out. What should I do now? He has been going potty in the shower, should I put the litter box in the shower?
