1. Fill litter box with at least 3 inches of Feline Pine Original Cat Litter. 2. Scoop the solid waste daily, and gently shake the box so the good pellets float to the top and the sawdust drops to the bottom. Leave the sawdust in the box as it will still work to absorb moisture and odor. 3. When the box is about 90% sawdust it is time to dispose of it and start with new litter. Do not flush or put into drains. Put used litter into the trash.

Please wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter. Keep this plastic bag away from small children to avoid danger of suffocation.

Great stuff!

I use this with my breeze box and I am impressed on how much more easier it is to clean out my cats litter box. The cats transitioned to it quick and it’s really good with odor. I have multiple cats so I’m changing out their box constantly. It’s crazy how much saw dust is created. It shows that turning their pee into sawdust and into the grate of their box is a hygienic way of keeping their box fresh. My cats love this stuff.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Strong Pine!

I brought this item a few month ago. And wow! The scent of Pines are soo strong that you could not smell your Furkid’s stuff. None of it. The scent was spreading everywhere in the house. It’s so good product but the splinters is mostly there in it and it does hurt their paws. I switched to so phresh ones. It’s less splinters. And less scents of pines too. Still recommend it if you hates their bathroom times. Just watch out for the splinters.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I brought this of today of November 30, 2024 and I appreciate that it came the same day I purchased this item , but that's only because I selected the same day delivery option, and its a nice quantity (40lbs). However, I do not appreciate how my bag came rip with 2 gigantic holes at the top in one miniature hole. I would like a refund, or a new bag.

I brought this of today, November 30, 2024. I like how it came the same day I order it, but that's because I selected same day delivery. It's a nice quantity (40 lb bag). However, I don't like the fact my bag arrived with TWO GIGANTIC HOLES & ONE MINI HOLE. I don't trust the bag now, I would like a refund, a discount, or a new bag. Thanks

Something is off

I have been using these pellets since February, 2024 after I adopted a cat. I love clean materials, I loooooove smell, my cat uses it without any accidents and I have to change it every 7 days (and there is no smell of urine during 7 days). BUT recently I have bought a batch that was strange: pellets are 2-colored, they don’t have pine smell at all (they have slight smell of chemicals) and I have to change it every 3 days due to urine smell and that fact that all pellets turn to dust in 3-4 days, when all the previous batches were holding 7 days. I picked up 40lbs bag at Petco in Kirkland, WA, still using it changing it every 3-4 days. It smells disgusting.

No, I do not recommend this product.

The Arm & Hammer Team
We apologize for the delayed response, and are sorry to hear about your experience, Ira_M. We'd like to learn more, and make this right if we can. Since Feline Pine is an organic product, and because every geographical terrain is different, where we acquire our raw material can affect the coloration of the final product. Other factors can include natural floods, fires, droughts, mineral presence in soil, and other traumas that may affect trees. Because of these natural occurrences and the fact that we do not add any chemicals to our sawdust, you can and will get a variety of “shades.” A common range can be anywhere between gray to a soft yellow. The pellets act like tiny sponges that absorb urine and break apart into sawdust. You scoop the solid waste daily, and gently shake the box so that the good pellets will float to the top and the sawdust drops to the bottom. You leave the sawdust in the box as it is still working to absorb moisture and odor. When the box is about 90% sawdust it is time to dispose of and start the 1" process all over again. Please reach out to us directly and we'll be glad to help! Our team is available to help by phone/text message at 800-833-9532, Monday - Friday, from 9 - 5 Eastern. can I put used litter around my trees etc.? after cleaning out the poop of course

 1. I tested the Ph of used, stinky Feline Pine, and was very surprised to find it only slightly acidic. I put it around my blueberry bushes!

What kind of litter box is best - shifting or non-shifting?

 1. Hi Sarahmarki, We would recommend checking out this article by The Spruce Pets for a review on sifting vs non-sifting litter boxes. https://www.thesprucepets.com/petmate-arm-and-hammer-large-sifting-litter-pan-review-5179321. Thank you.

Has this pine litter been kiln-dried? I understand this is important because pine resins are bad for cats.

 1. I do not know whether or not Feline Pine is kiln-dried. It is a good litter, have used it for upwards of 10 years without any issues regarding my cats’ health.

can i use this for a rabbit???

 1. Hi EdWoRd, We do not recommend any of our cat litters be used in pet cages or as pet bedding, including for rabbits. Thanks!

Because this is made by Arm and Hammer, does this contain baking soda?

 1. No, just compressed pine

Can I put this in my green garbage can for other items like leaves and yard waste?

 1. Hello Letych, We recommend only disposing of used litter in the traditional garbage, not green waste.

I have a filtering litter box (the ones with holes in the bottom) and my cat always seem to leak urine out of the box. I'm actually pretty fond of the litter, but the leaking is a big issue. Anyone else have this problem?

 1. Yes, I think the box might be too small for your kitty. My guy is in the box, but his bottom is just over the edge. I had to get plastic sweater boxes (those that can slide under beds for storage) without the lids. That way he can fit entirely in the box. Of course, I had to change kitty litters.

Any litter box recommendations to use with this litter? The one they recommend on the website doesn't have a hood

 1. Hi Chaundy, choosing a litter box is a personal preference. You may need to try different litter boxes in order to find one that works for your cat. Thank you.

Does this work in the breeze litter box? How is it different from the breeze pellets?

 1. Yes! I found a larger cat box to use instead of the little tray. Took out the tray and found large pee pads to put in the larger cat box and set the top of the Breeze on top of that. Works great! You can move the pellets around so the dust falls thru the grate on the Breeze box and scoop or use tongs to get the poop out. I clean it every day and it does not smell at all. I love it!! And my long haired girlie loves it too!

Is this product (Feline Pine Cat Litter) flushable? We have regular sewer system, not the septic.

 1. Sorry, no it is definitely not a good idea to flush this litter, whether trying to flush it in pellet-form or just the dust from the broken-down pellets, it will stick inside the pipes and clog-up your system. I didn't flush it but my sister did and after 1 month needed a plumber for a major repair job.
