Walnut Cat Litter

HeatherO

Walnut Litter is the best solution I have found for indoor cat boxes. Odor is minimal compared to other types of litter, the cats spend far less time scratching and rearranging, and the litter stays fresh longer. Great for owners AND pets!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Best Litter Out There!

This is the only litter I will use for my 4 cats. I do rescue and one of my 4 had a cough since about 6 months of age and after years of no answers, I started researching the products I was using in my home and for the cats. I also noticed coughing myself when I cleaned the litter boxes. I did a lot of research and was amazed at the toxins in clumping clay litter. I also wonder why the public isn’t told about this. I decided to switch and after much research decided to give this one a try. Within a week, all were settled in with the change and I began to notice that Asher’s cough had decreased. I also noticed changes in my breathing, for the better. Within 4 weeks, Asher’s cough stopped entirely. It was amazing and I am thrilled. This litter does scatter, just like clay but east to sweep up. I switched to deep stainless steel boxes which helps significantly. *Also noted is stainless steel is much healthier as does not scratch which then holds bacteria. It is also super easy to clean and everything slides right out of the box when cleaning clumps. There is literally no dust with this litter and it is natural and does not damage the environment. This is certainly not true with clumping clay litter which is not good for our environment and very dusty even when it says 99% dust free. I highly recommend Naturally Fresh Walnut litter as pictured in this review.

I Bought this litter 3 weeks ago and it is the best litter on the market. I was skeptical at first but now I will only buy this product. I have no unpleasant oders aanymore mind you I have 2 full grown adults and five 3 month old kittens. I definitely recommend this product to everyone.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This litter does not help with odor. It actually does nothing but makes the area of your litter box smell like a public bathroom. Within three users, it was completely unbearable. A whole bag gone in under 3 weeks because you have to change it so it doesn’t keep the smell

No, I do not recommend this product.

Does not clump. Not good for automatic liter box

I bought this based off the reviews and I cannot recommend it. Not sure if it’s because I use an automatic cat litter machine - Cat Link - but there’s absolutely no clumping and the liter sticks to the bottom wet. I have to scrape the liter off and when it falls, it stains all over causing me to wipe the interior every time. Pros: very good at odor control and it’s all natural. Cons: does not clump, sticks to the bottom wet, and stains.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hello,
We're sorry to hear about your recent experience! We recommend setting a delay of at least 15 minutes when using an automatic box with Naturally Fresh. That allows sufficient time for clumps to properly set before the self-cleaning function runs. Please feel free to reach out directly with any further questions.
Sincerely,
Naturally Fresh

Did they change the formula on this litter. I have been buying this for years now and this last batch i got it doesnt want to clay together. It just falls all apart now. If they have changed it i will be looking for a new litter going forward.

 1. I am having the same problem. All of a sudden it doesn’t clump and the wet litter breaks apart and ruins the entire box. I just bought a new bag - If I have the same problem I will be lokking for a new litter.

Is this litter compostable?

 1. Yes - walnut shells

Does anyone know if this litter contains sodium bentonite?

 1. 100% walnut shells

Are Walnut Shells safe for Cats ?

 1. Thank you for your question. Black walnut shells are toxic. This product is not made from black walnut shells and is safe for cats.

Is this litter safe for young kittens, in case they ingest some of it?

 1. We have rescued several pregnant mother cats to make sure they have a safe environment to give birth, and raise their kittens until they're old enough to be adopted. We use this brand litter and the box is always in the same room as the mother and the babies. There has never been a health aversion to their exposure, or use of this litter. We have never experienced any of the kittens or mothers trying to eat the litter (out of the bag, box, or otherwise).

How do I edit my review?

 1. Hit the back button before you hit the submit button.

Is the Blue litter flushable?

 1. I'm not an expert, but I have been told that no litter is truly flushable regardless of their claims. Any of them can build up in your plumbing and cause problems over time (I was told this by a plumber). Having said that, I used the corn-based flushable litter for about a 5-month period of time while I was training my cats to use the toilet and have had no related plumbing problems yet. But once the one cat was trained (the other one never got the hang of it) I stopped putting any litter down the toilet.
