The Best Litter I Have Ever Purchased

Kitty

WOW! This is the best cat litter I have ever found. No more litter all over the floor, just a pellet or two near the litter the box when they exit, also, it smell like a forest. It clumps and is easy to scoop.

I am so thankful to have found this litter. I feel like it is so clean and my long hair kitty doesn’t track a mess everywhere. No dust like most litters! It clumps wonderfully and I just take the clump out and I am left with a clean box. I am extremely happy with this litter as is my Snickerdoodle. She took to it right away when I switched litters.

Not low tracking, dusty

I purchased this desperate to find a solution for cat litter being brought into my bed. I have been using this for two days now, and unfortunately, there is cat litter spread throughout my house and is sticking on there paws leaving marks on whatever my kitties are sitting on. It does have a nice natural smell, which is great. It does not clump well but turns to dust when peed on which is difficult to scoop out if you have a traditional cat litter. I was very excited for this to work, but I will continue searching for a better solution.

No, I do not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use this for both of our cats, I just adopted a kitty from the shelter and it was so easy for him to adapt to pellet litter. No mess, no dust, easy clean up!

Broken pellets, high tracking.. Good potential

I have 3 senior cats and two large litter boxes and I through 2-14lbs bags of litter every 8 days. Why? Most new bags have 60% pellets and 40% pulverized pellets, sometimes ever more than that, which makes it highly tracking, difficult to clean and not good at odor absorbing to the point where I have to dump the pulverized litter that remains in the box after 8 days. The bag the litter comes in is often broken, in fact when you purchase the product you can smell the scent of the pellets as you handle the bag. I don’t know how they can claim that a bag of this litter lasts long with multiple cats, and I don’t know how they can claim this is a bag of pellets when in reality the product you pick up is half pulverized. Also, it’s high tracking, especially because the pellets are always broken in flakes or dust.

One Plus, Two Minuses

Catwings

In my continuing search for the perfect cat litter, I decided to give Okocat a try. Having used wood pellet cat litter in the past, I was familiar with what to expect. Let's get the plus out of the way first. If you're looking for a low-tracking litter, Okocat is great. At the most, you'll see a few pellets on the floor that are easy to sweep or vacuum away. No noticeable dust particles or static-cling tracking. But the minuses outweight the benefits. My biggest complaint is the amount of litter wasted when cleaning the box. Wood pellets should disintegrate when your cat pees and then form easy-to-scoop clumps. Okocat forms the clumps, but not all of the pellets disintegrate. That means the pee clumps break apart as you scoop and you're faced with trying to clean out multiple little clumps of pee. Not to mention that in the process of cleaning the box, you are also unable to sift the wood pellets back into the box. You end up throwing away lots of wood pellets along with the cat waste. Not economical. Second minus is that Okocat triggers an allergic response when filling or cleaning the box. That's a "me" problem I realize, but if you have allergies to wood/trees, you might find this litter to cause a big reaction. The search continues...

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 1 of 1 Questions

Will this work with litter robot?

  1. No. Litter Robot needs a fine clumping litter or it won't separate the litter correctly. Pellets of any kind will cause issues.
