Questions
Are the pellets safe for a septic system?
- Thanks for your question. Please know that Tidy Cats Litter is not flushable. Even if a litter is labeled flushable, it can cause plumbing problems. Bag your old litter and toss it in the trash, not in the toilet. Learn more about the do’s and don’ts of cat litter here: https://www.purina.com/articles/cat/behavior/litter/cat-litter-box-tips. We hope this helps, and if you have further questions or concerns, please contact us by following this link: https://www.purina.com/contact-us/. - The Tidy Cats Team

Is this good to use for the litter robot?
- I don't know what litter robot is. I just looked it up on-line and it looks as though it uses regular litter. But why not ask the litter robot people or the Breeze people?

added fragrance or not? one picture says zeolite + fragrance, picture of back of bag says zeolite only. need the unscented.
- I think it has some pine fragrance but don’t know for sure. I’m not sure which one I got but I smell a little order at first. Not so much after it’s been out for a couple of weeks.

Can I use other brands of paper pellets in the system
- You can use other pellets but it doesnt work like these. The others swell up when your car pees on it leaving the box smelling like a regular litter box. Go cheap on the pads but spend the money on the pellets if you dont want your room smelling bad.

Is this safe to train 3-4 week old kittens to use the litter box?

How do I get my cat to switch from her clumping litter to the pellets? I’ve tried lowering her into the dry pellets but she quickly hops out. I’m thinking about mixing some of her clumping litter in with the dry pellets? Any other suggestions.
- I mixed the two types little by little until it was just pellets, three of my 4 cats adjusted to the pellets, but one refused to and started urinating on my bed a lot. I am a slow learner I guess because I waited one year before going back to boxes with clumping litter. They all prefer that type unfortunately and have had no more problems!

I have one cat that wants to eat the pellets. Why and are they toxic? I just started using the box and so far, he's the only one with any real interest but for the wrong reason.
- A kitten or cat may investigate newly introduced litter just as they would with any new household items. This may include sniffing, digging and in some cases chewing on the new item. This activity should decline as your cat adjusts to the new litter system. As with anything new introduced into your household, we recommend monitoring your cat when introducing them to any new litter to ensure they are adapting to their new litter box appropriately. If a pet is seen eating a large amount of litter pellets a veterinarian should be consulted and plenty of fresh water should be made available. We recommend trying an alternative litter if a cat is chronically eating the Breeze pellets. - The Tidy Cats Team

How long does the 7lb bag of cat litter last because I don’t want to have to run to the store one a month/or spend that much when I could normally stock up on regular litter for possibly cheaper
- I wash the pellets and reuse them. They last a long time. I buy pellets in bulk. Similarly, I made washable/reusable "kitty diapers" (from crib liners) that I rinse and wash, so I do not have the expense of buying the throw-away pads. There are likely many ways to wash the pellets, this is how I do it: Hot water and lemon Lysol. Agitate and let them soak for 10 minutes, then rinse well. Dry. (I made a "dryer" with heat lamps to reduce the dry time to a few hours, otherwise it takes quite a while for them to dry completely.) Good Luck. Write back with any questions.

what is the size of this bag, how many pounds are in it?
- The pellet refill bags come in 2 sizes. 3.5 lbs and 7 lbs. I have found in the long run it is cheaper to go with the larger bag.
