At Sustainably Yours, we set out to create a litter that is both high-performing and environmentally friendly. Our plant-based formula is full of benefits for both you and your cat-all while remaining sustainable. Small-grain formula for faster clumping.

  • - OUTSTANDING ODOR CONTROL: Our proprietary formula instantly traps urine odor and prevents its build-up. And we never use fragrance, so there are no artificial scents that can irritate both cats and people
  • - EXCEPTIONAL CLUMPING: Because our litter is made exclusively from corn and cassava, it's naturally rich in starches. This results in dry, fast-forming, and firm clumps that you can trust to stay together while scooping and cleaning your litter box
  • - VIRTUALLY NO DUST: Our proprietary machinery removes dust at key points in the production process, resulting in a litter that protects cats from possible respiratory issues-and your home from a dusty mess
  • - LIGHT AND BRIGHT COLOR: Lighter in color than alternatives, making it easier to keep the litter box tidy and spot differences in your cat's urine
  • - LONG-LASTING PERFORMANCE: We don't just outperform other litters- we outlest them. Our litter lets you buy less and save more
  • - NATURAL AND SUSTAINABLE: Our litter is made exclusively from renewable crops of corn and cassava

Best Cat Litter Ever!

SpoiledCatFamily

This is the best cat litter ever. I've been using it for 5 years. I shopped around for a long time and used many brands. I was skeptical to try Sustainable Yours. I use it in an automatic litter box. It scoops well and there's no lingering odors. I had 4 cats when I started using Sustainable Yours.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Too stinky

Nimgee

I decided to try this for my two kittens because one got an eye infection from the dusty clay litter. The kittens took right to it. However, it is too smelly for me to keep using it. It clumps very well for urine. Feces sort of breaks apart. The kittens are enthusiastic diggers and sometimes come out with litter all over their face and head. I want a natural, low tracking, clumping litter. Moving on from this.

I loved it, cats not so much

I like it, my cats do not. It clumps great. It's unscented but naturally has a mild sort of cornmeal scent to it. It's not unpleasant and I prefer it to the clay smell. It tracks a little, but not much with my mats. Not any worse than any other litter I've ever had, for sure. However, my cats seem to hate it for some reason. The boxes that were switched over to mostly that litter, they basically stopped using altogether, and my more finicky cat started pottying outside of one of the boxes. So, I'll just have to go with a lightweight, low-dust unscented clay litter, I guess. Bleh.

Expensive but More Economical

I will never go back to any other litter. Yes, it is more expensive but it works better than all the others. ( And I've tried them all.) It clumps better, controls odor better and because you are only throwing away the poop and pee, it lasts much longer. You are not wasting any litter when you scoop.

Yes, I recommend this product.

So Disappointed =(

Oh. My. Word. How are people giving this litter such a high rating?! I had heard so much about it and was thrilled to find it on sale at my local store. I bought both the finer grain and the regular side, and both were....well, awful. I CAN say that this was by far the best clumping litter I have ever experienced - those urine clumps were super hard and compact. But odor control? I swear that somehow it was like the opposite - my husband, kids, and myself all said in one form or another "It's like a broadcast system that a cat has pooped in there!" We have 3 cats, multiple litter boxes, and everything gets cleaned at least once a day if not twice, and it didn't matter; the stink was unbearable. I actually ended up changing out the litter in all of the boxes before it had even reached the end of its life because we honestly couldn't take the smell. Oh, and tracking? Worst I've ever had. So yeah - wanted to love this, but ended up hating it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

No order control and tracks everywhere

I’ve been using Sustainability Yours litter for over a month now, and while there are some positive aspects, it ultimately didn’t work for us. First, the litter clumps well, which is great for easy cleaning, and the two 26-pound bags lasted about a month when used in a Litter-Robot for five cats. However, the downsides are hard to overlook. The litter tracks everywhere—literally. It gets scattered all over the house, which is a huge mess to clean up. Even more disappointing, there’s no effective odor control. After just a few days, the litter box starts to stink, even with regular cleaning. Unfortunately, due to the lack of odor control, I won’t be using this product again.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Maggots in litter

Wonky Willow 43

Love the litter itself. Have been using it for a few months now. Got it while my senior kitty was around as it is super fine and easier on the paws. Here is where my issue lies. I ordered my last batch of 4 bags which mind you isn't cheap at all. And I had put half a bag in the 2 litter boxes and I went to bed. Woke to clean them as I do every morning. To find them full of maggots. I quickly emptied both boxes opened a fresh bag and used what I could to fill both boxes again. I woke this morning to find maggots again. So to say I'm beyond mad is an understatement. That is nasty and can cause serious issues in pets. This is not what I expect with this litter especially at $24 a small bag.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

Does this litter work well in litter robots?

I have 3 kitties. How much would I need to last the month with them using 2 litter boxes? Also is it flushable?

    1. I would get the big bag. I do not know if it is flushable, it clumps very hard, most likely the bulk dissolves in water. This is the best cat litter I have ever used.

Is this litter safe to flush down the toilet

Is there concerns that if this litter clumps so hard it could block the digestive track of a cat or kittens like clay litters?

      1. This litter clumps pretty hard but softens when rehydrated which is why it is flushable. Since it’s derived of corn and cassava, it’s probably not as harmful if swallowed as a clay or crystal litter would be but I’m not an expert. I do know that Jackson Galaxy uses it and he is an expert and I’ve been using it for over 2 years now and I’ll never go back to clay litters

Could this be used for ferret's litter? It does awsome with the cat box smell and would like to use it for the ferrets.

      1. I don’t see why not. I use it for my little dogs that I boxed trained

Is this product tested for cyanide & aflatoxins?

      1. I wouldn’t be able to answer that question.  That information is not listed on the bag.  It does say is made with 100% natural ingredients.

Is the cassava processed to remove cyanide?

      1. I contacted Sustainably Yours with the question, and was told:  “ We use completely dehydrated food-grade cassava starch making our litter 100% safe if ingested by our furry loved ones.”

How long does one bag last?

      1. One small 13lb bag lasts for 2 weeks with 2 cats (sharing litter box) So one 26lb bag will last the month (or two 13lb bags) if you've got 2 cats, perhaps double that time if just one cat. It's pretty rare I have to dump out any old litter, it stays so clean. But I am a purist with this one and I do not mix it with other litter, and I use the Multicat PLUS *only* . I've got a litter mat with holes that catches spare grains and I can pour that back in the box every so often too because this clumps so well, extra 'sand' you collect is always dry/unsoiled :) So while the bags are smaller, I always feel like I'm utilizing the whole amount. I really appreciate that and the tidiness of it- lightweight ,compact, clean & fresh appearance. It's easy to see all traces of soiled litter, and also easy to see if any changes in urine color too (if you have a cat with UTI susceptibility.

      Is it flushable?

      1. I do not flush this litter.

Does anyone who has used World's Best Litter green colored one have an opinion of it vs. this litter?

      1. Yes! I have 5 cats.I used World's Best for many years. This hand down is the best cat litter.Ive tried many brands over the past 45 years.I only put about 2" in the box and scoop daily.Im going to try the larger grain next time because it does track. But, I love this brand.I heard about it from Jackson Galaxy and in over 25 years he's never recommended a cat litter until he tried this one. That says a lot.I know it's costly but it last a long time.HIGHLY recommend! Hope this helps
