Dr. Elsey's Crystal Litter is safe and healthy for your cat. It is an amorphous silica gel infused with hydrolyzed herbs to draw cats to the litter box. Crystal Litter traps urine and odor on contact and has the particle size that long haired cats prefer. It will not adhere to the cat's long fur and it will not color the coat. Each bag contains a free Litter Box Solutions Booklet.

Pour one inch of Dr. Elsey's Crystal Litter into a clean litter box. Remove solid waste daily and rake crystals to ensure freshness. Litter does not form scoopable clumps. A single litter box filled with Dr. Elsey's Crystal Litter can handle multiple cats but we recommend using more than one litter box if you have more than one cat. Crystals may become discolored. The color does not affect the performance. One application will typically last two weeks depending upon use. After two weeks, completely dump the contents of the box and wash with mild soap and hot water. Refill with one inch of Dr. Elsey's Crystal Litter.

Do not flush, dispose of litter in trash.

I did notice it is low dust but my cats did still track some litter outside the box. I have 5 cats so I was expecting some litter out of the box. The litter controlled the smell well. I would use this product again though I think I prefer clumping litter.

    Yes. I use this litter in my scoop free and it works great. I bought the "forever" tray and use it with that. The granules are slightly larger than the Scoop Free brand, but it is cheaper and available in store.

Is this litter flushable?

    No. This litter is a "desiccate" style litter (similar to the "silica gel" packs you find in some electronics package. This cause the feces to become very dry and hard and thus nearly odorless. Flushing this little p00p rocks would probably cause issues.
