I need advice on what breed if dog to get? I want another dog it will Be living outside on a farm it's secure but sometimes the gates need to remain open for a few mins to an hour ideally I want a dog who sees the open gates but ignores I know this require training but looking for breeds that it comes more natural to I don't want a collie or any type of retriever maybe a Tibetan mastiff or Caucasian ovtcharka???
How can i train my 7 month old Siberian Husky to stay up stairs while I’m down stairs or my family because she pushes the gate then opens the other 2 from the stairs she was calm before she stayed watching us in kitchen now she cries and bites the gates
My dog won't walk in his leash when he noticed that he didn't know the place. He also suddenly stopped walking each time dogs were barking at him, even the dogs were just inside the gates. Please help me.
My cat is relentlessly scratching and meowing at my door at night (she doesn’t do it to any other doors). She has plenty of food, water and toys. It doesn’t matter how much time I spend with her before bed time. I’ve tried putting up baby gates but she just jumps over them. I’ve tried simply ignoring it. I’ve tried spray bottles. Is this separation anxiety? Does she need medication?
Hi! We have this cat room (pictures attached) because they don't get along with Pharah. Is the cat room okay? We can't really afford any cat "furniture" right now or the doggy gates so we have a long chair in front. Dog doesn't go there and cats can still see the living room. Is the placement of food (on top of the table) and litter (under table next to each other) good? Should we add more things to the room? Also they only go out of the room when dog is away, like walks.
I originally got spring as gaurd dog but he's too freindly how can I make him agressive towards strangers there's no danger of him biting outside the property as there are high fences all around and we have signs that say be aware of the dog the only time he leaves the gates is on a leash we had a stranger pretend to try and steal a digger from our tool yard and Spring ran up wagging his tail have I socialised him to much? How can I get him to gaurd the property?
I have a 13 year old Mainecoon male cat and he's been having difficulty jumping up and down on things. I have baby gates in 2 areas of my house as I have 2 toddlers and he's never had problems getting over them before but the last week he's meowing and waits for me to lift him over. He also seems to shake on his front legs and lift them alternately as if in discomfort. Is there anything I can give him for discomfort?
We have four cardinal tetras, three glo danios, three glo tetras and a albino Cory cat. They are all the type to only get an inch to two inches long and so we have them in a twenty gallon tank. Have gravel and silk/plastic/resin/and live plant/decor and proper filter/heater/air. Also have changed filter once a month, siphoned 25% water/debris out every two weeks using water conditioner but don't know why we have murky water and how to remedy this...
We have have a two year old male who’s the baby of the house and we got a female two weeks ago first week great and then he changed and started to get really aggressive towards her for about 3-4 days so we are keeping them apart with pet gates but lately they want to play together with no aggression can it be turned around or has it gone to far cause if we weren’t there it would have been a bad fight if not worse
My new dog is amazing! But we left him home thinking he would be okay. We learned he can jump baby gates quite well! He hopped over the one that blocks our kitchen and ate raw old chicken from the trash, chocolate cup cakes and god only knows what else. I've been keeping a very close on on him, and he hasn't been acting out of the ordinary, and seems to be well. The only thing I've noticed is a very funky looking poop! I hope he's well and not poinsoned. What do you think of this poop? Vet time?
Are cocker spaniels obedient I rescued a cocker spaniel from a couple who couldn’t care for it they kept it in a tiny cage and the dog would be covered in its own poop I plan on this being on outdoor dog on my farm but the gates are always open and I’m scared it will run away my existing dogs don’t run away will it just stay with my other dogs? It’s 8 months old what’s the best way to train it to hang around like my other dogs do I didn’t train my other dogs I just had them from a young enuf age
We recently got an electronic doggie door. While we are training them we have it set to unlocked. Our 50-pound lab mix has pretty much figured it out. However we also have midna the Chiweenie she is scared of the door I think so because we had to buy it says for the bigger dog and every time she considers going through right after Sarah it smacks her in the face. It is light enough for her to push it open if she decides to they both had the same training when we first got it but she refuses
