Is this gate extension approved for outdoor use with the outdoor cardinal gate?
- For the extension, you will have to get the stainless steel hardware in order to have it for outdoor use. The hardware is available on the Cardinal Gate website.

I want to install a 40 inch wide pet gate. I like the cardinal gate but don't know how to attach the extension.
- Thanks for your question. Your question was associated with a gate extension. However, it sounds like you don't need an extension. Many Cardinal Gates found on PETCO.com are walk-through and adjustable width. The Stairway Special (PETCO.com SKU 1309587) spans widths from 27 to 42.5. The Auto-Lock Pet Gate (PETCO.com SKU 1309595) spans 26.5 to 40 inches. Hope this helps.

What size crate should I purchase for an adult German Shepherd I am planning to adopt?
We recently got an electronic doggie door. While we are training them we have it set to unlocked. Our 50-pound lab mix has pretty much figured it out. However we also have midna the Chiweenie she is scared of the door I think so because we had to buy it says for the bigger dog and every time she considers going through right after Sarah it smacks her in the face. So my dog keeps peeing in her kennel. I have started making more frequent potty breaks and that has helped some. But she still has accidents about twice a week. So I have thought about getting her a smaller kennel. She is in a 42’’ wire kennel. She can lay in a ball in the corner of it and not take up much room. She is too tall for a smaller kennel. My two six month old pups are labs they have recently learned to jump our fence, (4ft), and since have become to escape every chance they get. I thought punishing them by putting them in kennel when they return home, no treats, securing they on leash while outside, and staying outside until they completed their business and bringing them back into kennels. I'm at a lost at this point. I have extended the fence, I have blocked areas I know behavior is occurring... nothing is working.
