Wow, the best gate ever

This is the best gate ever. And our BIG AREA was too big for the regular gate, so I ordered this extension. It came promptly, it installed easily, and this is the BEST gate ever! All 3 of our medium-sized dogs stay in the kitchen area now, even our little Houdini who gets out of everything previously! We couldn't be happier!!!

Is this gate extension approved for outdoor use with the outdoor cardinal gate?
- For the extension, you will have to get the stainless steel hardware in order to have it for outdoor use. The hardware is available on the Cardinal Gate website.

I want to install a 40 inch wide pet gate. I like the cardinal gate but don't know how to attach the extension.
- Thanks for your question. Your question was associated with a gate extension. However, it sounds like you don't need an extension. Many Cardinal Gates found on PETCO.com are walk-through and adjustable width. The Stairway Special (PETCO.com SKU 1309587) spans widths from 27 to 42.5. The Auto-Lock Pet Gate (PETCO.com SKU 1309595) spans 26.5 to 40 inches. Hope this helps.
