After trying to put it together on my own, I admitted to having zero patience trying to figure out the directions so I watched the YouTube video. Brilliant! Everything is working, looks great - my only comment is that I think the screws are too short (and another screw hole would add greater support for the frame attached to the wall). I have a 27lb cockapoo who was expert in knocking over tension gates - I hope this will keep him in the kitchen!

Really like this gate. This is the third one we have got over many years. Keep getting it .

Just received gate, hoping it will keep our dog from ripping apart Amazon type delivery boxes at the front door area. It installed quickly without use of any instructions; literally had it up in under 10 minutes! So far Goose, the dog in photo, is respecting the new barrier and being kept at bay. Time will tell though as he’s pretty clever and really likes chewing up Amazon delivery boxes; I think they’ll be safe on the other side the new gate.

I research things to death, and finding baby gates for our stairway was no exception. This was a good purchase. It is relatively sturdy, lightweight, and the design is functional. There are two hex set screws at the top and bottom of the gate that allow adjustment of the gate width. The bracket that holds these set screws was bent open, so instead of a |_| shape it was a \_/ shape. This means the screw almost went through the entire bracket metal (2-3mm) and nearly ran out of threads before it hit the gate. If I had an appropriate clamp I could probably take it apart and bend it back into the proper shape, but then that would introduce fatigue and possibly compromise the weld to the gate. The threads for the set screw were also poorly cut, and required excessive force to use. No, I did not cross-thread the set screw. The latch mechanism had high friction, and concerned me about the wear, as noted in other reviews, so I lubricated the contact points with a small amount of PFTE silicone grease (food safe) and now it shuts and opens much more easily.

This is a well-designed and easy to put together and install gate! Works like a charm!

Used the set to replace a material gate. This one works much better. Even my mom can use it. Looks nice too

I've had lots of gates to keep my little dogs from roaming the house. I've had the pressure type, but gave up on those when our elderly friends had trouble stepping over them. My last gate was metal but the latch was plastic and it broke. This gate is great because it has an easy to use metal latch. No need to worry about a plastic part wearing out and having to replace the gate.

This gate is relatively easy to assemble and install. Shiny black is not my favorite. Would prefer flat black. It seems very sturdy. My grandaughter gave it a real test !
