The product was described as 'netting' but when it arrived it was hard plastic; not as expected. I was able to return it to a Petco store but the return process was clunky; cashier had to call someone and manually write down numbers, versus other stores at which the barcode can simply be scanned to process the return.

If you have a balcony made of wall like mine, you might want to plan an advance. Make sure it drills through the wall and ensure that your apartment complex lets- it was really hard to install but I feel a little bit better now since we had a couple of incidents where my cat slipped but was able to catch herself- thankfully. Heart- dropping! Totally worth the money.

I thought it would be a little more sturdy. I have a space between my balcony floor and the rail so the netting that covers that space can be easily moved back and forth even with the zip ties. I’m afraid my pup will push on it, and I don’t want to risk it. may be better for larger dogs but my toy poodle is small and only about 2 pounds

My cat loves being out in the sun but I didn't feel comfortable letting her out on our 2nd floor deck by herself. She could have easily gone under or through the railing until I installed this netting. It was super easy to attach with the zip ties and cutting it to size needed just a normal pair of household scissors. The net is attractive, durable, and allows for a full view of her domain.

This was perfect for what we needed. We live in an apartment building and we are high up from the ground, but still wanted our indoor cat to safely get some fresh air outside on our balcony. Of course we supervise him when he is outside but I feel very safe and secure with this gate up. It was super easy to set up, too!
