It's recommended to mimic natural light patterns, turning the lamp on during the day and off at night. For more guidance check out this crested gecko care sheet.
Yes, we offer a variety of lamps tailored to the needs of crested geckos, catering to different terrarium sizes and specifications.
It's essential to use a specialized heat lamp designed for reptiles to ensure the right heat output and prevent overheating.
Monitoring the terrarium's temperature and observing your gecko's behavior can provide insights. If the gecko spends all its time far from the lamp, it might be too hot. Check out our Habitat Setup section for more guidance on heat lamp settings.

I am about to get a crested gecko and have done lots of research, but am nervous I'll kill my crestie. You see, lots of people have different opinions about additional lighting. 1 breeder said a heat lamp killed many of his crested geckos, while another breeder said it killed her geckos when they DIDNT have a heat lamp. Should I get a heat lamp? (My tank is a 12 by 12 by 18, of that helps at all) Also, should that size tank be good for 1 crested gecko for his entire life?
Fancy leopard geckos need light. If I keep the red light on 24/7 as directed by, what should the temperature be?
Hi there. So I am looking into getting a heat dome for my crested gecko. I know they don’t have to have a heat lam but I want him to have a UVB bulb Because it’s good for them. But I am not quite sure that type to get. Any suggestions? I was looking at petco’s tropical combo pack. He lives in a 10 g. With live plant. (I will upgrade when he is bigger) also do you know an age on him? I got him 3 months ago from petsmart. I could tell he was a male a week after I got him. (Pic from yesterday)
Do leopard gecko need a heat lamp my leopard gecko has a heat mat that is 88-90 degrees?
My daughter is getting a crested gecko, but she can't sleep without a dim nightlight on. Is it OK to have a dim nightlight on with a crested gecko in the same room? Also, is it OK to defuse lemon, orange, and oils like that, in the same room as a crested gecko? (The defuser does make the room have a quite strong smell of the oils I put in the defuser.)
What is the best way to heat hedgehog cage with lamp?
i got a leopard gecko today and i was scared that during the night he’d get too cold, i’m having trouble keeping the temperature around 80-90. i have a day light on it already. so should i put a night red light on him to keep him warm even though he doesn’t need it?
I have a heat mat that ranges from 88-90 degrees for my leopard gecko but I know it can get pretty cold in the House can I use a (CHE)? If so how many watts is it recommended so my leopard gecko won’t get burn
Whay can i do about my hachling iguana over heating
I have a gargoyle gecko all OK last two years but very recently lost weight to point I can see his ribs, his legs and feet are weak. Has wood chip substrate Cork board walls hollow logs and branches. He eats phelsuma mix and locusts mist once day or every other. Approx 25c with heat mat which is turned off at night.
I have a leopard gecko and it seems that the temperature in the tank isn't getting to what it needs to be. I have a heating mat and a thermostat and i have the heating mat highest up to 93 degrees. But the air inside on the warm side is only like 79 degrees how do I fix this I know that heating mats are the best for them but it isn't making my tank warm enough. Also, I know that heat lamps aren't the best since they aren't basking animals. So what should I do to make it warmer?
My gecko, Treasure, is about 6 months old i think. Petco, where we bought him from told us that he is a leopard gecko. we aren't even sure if he's a boy either. he looks completely identical to a western banded. his daytime light went out weeks ago so we replaced it with a lightbulb in our home, but that's not warm enough for him. then today, his ultra violet light went out. we have plenty of good & water for him. he's about to shed, but he's very cold. i've tried warming him up with my body
