I purchased the light online and picked up in the store I brought it home and it didn’t look like it was new it look like it had been burnt out at one side I put it in and Shernoff the light doesn’t really come on so it was defective I don’t know if it was returned item and they gave it to me and now it’s completely out so I have to return it I have to go back to the store they’re not getting a shipment till Saturday he said to call on Sunday I find this very much a pain because I have to go back and I wouldn’t order again but you were the one of the few people that have this light so I guess I’m gonna have to order again but I will have them check it before I leave the store again it was defective and they gave it to me I did call the store and the manager knows and his answer was oh just come and get another one

At first, I noticed everyone in forums and groups online was recommending the 10.0 bulb, with no regard to what size tank. Check the specifications that Zoo Med provides for your tank size. For my starter kit 40 gal tank, the 5.0 was recommended, and I have used it for 5 months now with no health issues. Always check the specifications and measure your bulb-to-basking spot distance inside YOUR tank.

UVB strip lighting is the best and Zoo Med is the best brand.

Lo and behold, found it on their site. I had been looking for this replacement light bulb at a few pet stores. Seems there was design change to the UVB Terrarium Hood, eliminating the type of light bulb I was looking for. This UVB bulb makes a world of difference for your pet.

My current plan is to return the lights, I bought them assuming you would also carry the correct fixture for them, you don't and from what I can tell, either does anyone else. I know, crazy!

I am so happy that you carry the 48 inch Repti-Sun 5.0 UVB bulbs. I use a 48" shop light fixture above the 2' x 4" box where my African Leopard tortoise lives when it is too cold for him outside. I have not been able to find this length at any of the local pet stores. You have been my source for these bulbs for nearly 10 years. PLEASE continue to carry this size.
