Paw is bleeding near nail. What should we do? Unsure what caused it.
How do I care for my dogs broken nail?
Swelling and irritation on her paw around the nail
How do you cut cat nails ?
By shihpoo has front dewclaws and the pads they are attached to are clack, crusty and crumbly. his nails are also black so I am afraid to trim them too short but not sure what to do about the crusty pads. Any advice?
My beabull has blood under the nail two of her back nails write up by where the Fur is and I think that she must have caught it on something and she continues to lick it I have not seen blood on anything but I was wondering if a simple nail trim and you putting a gauze wrap with some loose first aid tape around that Paul to keep it clean wood fix this without having to bring her in for a vet visit. she does need a nail trimming and I'm going to get her in to get them done professionally.
My dog has ripped her nail off on her front paw what can i do
Our dog started licking his paw today. It looks like his nail split at some point and now has two nails growing. The bottom one has "gunk" around it and it's very hard. He walks & runs fine, only notices the discomfort when he's resting. how can we help him?
My dog has a toenail that goes into her paw. The nail looks long and I think it is splintering. Please help, she keeps licking it. Thank you!
My dog ripped her nail, and the quick is exposed. I was able to get most of the broken pieces off and she seemed to be in less pain after I removed it. There was no bleeding, and I rinsed with warm water and hydrogen peroxide. I made a temporary cover for the paw with a sock and some vet wrap to try and keep it clean until morning. Is this something I can care for at home, or should I drop into the vet tomorrow for antibiotics and a thorough exam?
Hi. My dog had her nails clipped. She has a swollen paw pad due to an ingrown nail. I've been cleaning it with antiseptic and adding neosporin. She doesn't have and problems walking but it's swollen.
My Labrador damaged her nail while trying to get something under the cabinets. Her nails are really long, and that's our fault as she doesn't let us trim her nails. The damaged nail was bleeding during the first day, it's now day three and she keeps licking this paw. It appears the nail is somewhat bent, and there seems to be a cut in the nail as seen in the photo. What should I do? What would the vet do? Would she require anaesthetic? Thanks very much
