These nail clippers partly cut and partly crushed my 20# dogs nails. I returned them.

Adjustment for the stop so loose, it's useless.

This is for the small size clipper. I'm not even going to try these on my squirming cats. The adjustable stop is very loose and impossible to adjust. I'm afraid the cats will move and I'll cut the entire claw off. I'm returning these.

No, I do not recommend this product.

These clippers were recommended by the associate who helped me, and they have proved sturdy and easy to handle. I am pleased with the value, and grateful for the associate's help in the selection.

Red handle works better than the Orange

I have tried both the orange and the red version now. The results are the red clippers work a lot better. I think it's because of the shape of the blades, it probably grips the nails more evenly and cuts them from multiple sides all at once. I could see if you have a very large dog its nails might not fit through the clippers though, that's the only downside. If you have the option definitely get the red handled version.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great clippers!

Great clippers for my 96 pound Maximus. He tolerated very well and they were crisp clean cuts which did the job. I ended up buying a second trimmer.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Dull right out of the package

These were too dull right out of the package. My puppy was tolerating getting her nails clipped pretty well, but once I bought this one she gets very skittish and nervous. The blades are so dull that I think they are pinching her nail. Rather than cutting cleanly, the edges of her cut nails are jagged and rougher than with her previous clippers.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I owned a grooming shop at one time and owned many nail clippers. This is a nice nail clipper especially for the price.

My favorite dog nail trimmers. They work great for a 15# dog and a 65# dog. And they’re really well priced.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Hello, what is the ean number of this product, can i learn?

  1. EAN-13:0 076681 007676. For the 6.5 inch clipper. EAN-13:0 076681 007430. For the 5 inch clipper. I don't have the packaging anymore. Found these by Googling.

How do they on 134lb. American pittie

  1. They work great on my 150lb Rottie so I'd assume you're good

Do you sell these in any of the Petco stores or is it an online only product?

  1. Yes, these nail trimmers are sold in the stores. Ted Hughes Millers Forge

Is this made in Italy?

  1. No. This particular product is made in Taiwan. Ted Hughes Millers Forge

Does the large clipper have a safety bar or stop?

  1. no

I just received the large dog Millers Forge nail trimmers and they DON'T have the nail guard as described but not pictured. Is the guard optional?

  1. Only the small version of the Millers Forge nail trimmers have the nail guard.

Which clippers to use

  1. The red handled "Safety Bar Trimmers" cut large nails much better than the Large orange handles trimmers. My dog is 65 lbs.

I originally clicked on this in the cat grooming section. Can I use this on my cat? It says it's a dog grooming tool.

  1. These would be safe on either cat or dog.

I was wondering with the add showing 3 clippers in the picture and 2 in the listing. What pair are most of the reviews for?

  1. Yes that is confusing. My review (Niwashikun) applied to the Large Orange Handles Trimmers.

Is there any reason why I should not use the large orange handled clippers on a medium dog? The orange ones seem to have better reviews.

  1. I purchased the Large version of these clippers for my two small 10 lbs dogs and these work perfectly fine on them. I did not want the smaller version because the nail guard obstructs the view of the nail and these do not. It would be quite suitable for a medium size dog and even smaller dogs or cats as long as you know the proper way to cut and trim the nail.
