Looking for something to cut/trim the dogs nails which are very hard to cut and one grows up instead of down. Used the clippers to cut the piece off and then grind it smooth so it wouldn't scratch if he put that paw on you. The dog was very docile during the process which says the grinder didn't make enough noise to cause the dog to become anxious. Very pleased.

Was surprised Drs Foster and Smith sell this product. I am huge fan of this company for over twenty years. Clippers are horrible, clumsy, dull nail crushing junk. And lock slips. You already have your dog squirming trying to go fast and then clippers lock up. Just no way. Have ordered another type they now offer and keeping fingers crossed. My dog weighs 90 lbs and has hard black nails.

Clippers work great/having difficulty w/nail grinder

The nail clippers work great however I have yet to use the nail grinder because I can't get it apart to put the batteries in it. I was really looking forward to using the nail grinder because I have a Golden Retriever whose nails are very thick and does not like to have his nails trimmed.

Our dog would freak out at a clippers. It was so bad, the vet recommended only getting one claw clipped at a time. I happened to see the grinder at the outlet store and it works wonders. He will tolerate the grinder where he would not a clippers. He will actually sit still and allow me to grind his nails down. Love the light so I can see how much needs to be ground down. Thank you for solving a tough issue for our dog.

Does the dremel brand of band fit the furminator nail grinder?

    True, it only comes with 2 bands. However, I did purchase FURminator replacement grinding bands at the same time I bought the FURminator. They came 6 in a pack. I don't recall the price and do not still have my receipt.
