can i use dog nail clippers to cut my guinea pigs nails there over grown
Have a spunky new rescue chihuahua mix and she is skittish. So much so she will resist any efforts to trim her nails. We have 4 dogs so I have trimmed nails hundreds of times--but with Ricki Ricardo, no luck. I sit on the floor and flip them over and cradle them between my legs. My wife distracts them with peanut butter on a spoon. Besides going to a groomer or vet, any ideas? I thought maybe a groomer table might help. Are there premium nail cutters of higher quality than store bought?
Do cats need Heartworm prevention? I just realized I never discussed this with my vet. Also, do I use the same nail trimmers for my cat as I do for my dogs? I’ve noticed cats nails are flat compared to dogs round nails but the clippers look the same.

Hello we are due to update both of our dogs on flea and tick chews.
Hi! My dog is a GSD Mix and his nails are the issue. Lately over the past month we have noticed that his black nails have been gradullay turning an off white color and they are pretty brittle. We keep noticing them splitting in half exposing the upper half of the quick. He was severely abused and neglected before we adopted him and has always been freaked out about us touching his feet so that is nothing new. They seem to be bothering him and when we try to help he gets upset. Please help!
My dog had the cover of his toenail removed 3 weeks ago exposing the quick. His doctor is on vacation until Monday. I change his dressing 2 to 3 times a day and use Hibitane cream to help the healing. He also had three small fractures in his paw there were removed. My question is should I keep changing the dressing and putting the cream on until I hear back from my doctor on January 7 Or should I keep the quick exposed to the air while he’s in the house? Dog neutered but other dog licked scab off
I started using a gentle leader on my dog and I realized I was having it on too tight and now he has a small line of hair loss due to the scarping of the gentle leader. Will his hair grow back and what can i do to help promote it; take care of it.
