Nice and quiet

I bought this with having a desperate need to trim my dogs' nails. Their vet used to do it, but after we moved, I couldn't justify making hour long trips just for nail trims. (Nor could I afford that). Regular clippers didn't work though. I either couldn't get a good grip, or it would scare them because I'd cut too short. So I knew I needed a grinder. I picked this one up figuring I'd give it a shot. The fact it was marketed as quiet and stress free caught my eye. I brought it home, opened it up, and let my pups get used to it. One does NOT like having his paws touched, so I haven't used it on him yet. My old guy, however? LOVES THIS PRODUCT! His nails look so much better, and he loves laying down and getting a "manicure". Plus I know his feet feel so much better now that his nails are trimmed, as they were getting a little too long. 100% would recommend if you're looking for something relatively quiet. It's not silent of course, but it's not noisy. Plus the little spotlight helps a ton.

Yes, I recommend this product.

It was so hard deciding weather I should purchase these or not, especially with all the bad reviews. But I made the best choice by trying them anyways and they are perfect. I have a 6 month old, 3 pound Maltese. With the smallest nails, and it worked perfectly. The speed was just enough to not hurt her. There is a low speed and hi. Low was perfect for her. I highly recommend to try them for small puppies. Not suitable for a medium size or large dog what so ever.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Couldn’t even finish using once. The tip with the sandpaper comes out of socket the second it touches the nail. Do not…. I repeat.. do not buy this . Might as well just throw your money in a burning fire! So upset these type of products are even allowed to be sold. Such a money grab.

Way too light duty, might be fine for a toy breed or very small dog. Would not do for either of my dogs.

I bought the filer for my dog who has black nails. I'm afraid of clipping the quick. I set it up and turned it on. She didn't mind the humming of the filer. I out it near her foot and she was fine. I tried to file and she took off. Good product, but will only work if I had another person to hold her still.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not Even Nearly Adequate!

This is a joke for my needs. I have a thirteen pound miniature poodle and this is completely underpowered. After a great deal of effort, the nail was barely shortened and the grinding wheel was nearly worn out. This would probably work well for a dog with VERY small nails or a cat but nothing else.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Can you buy just the attachments?

  1. Yes, we do have replacement kits for our nail grinders! Here is the link for the item you would need here from Petco - https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/wahl-premium-nail-grinder-replacement.

Our little one, Approx 12LB, mix likely Rat Terrier and Basenji, She will not let us clip her nails. Taking her in for that is hard to always find the time and cost adding up. Would the premium be appropriate for small 12 lb dog?

  1. We use it for our 10lb chihuahua, who sometimes has long thin nails. Using it for our 13lb pug who has strong curvy nails was a more arduous task, it just took more time and patience. I feel your pets are probably more similar to our chihuahua and it would work well. I try to have a professional clipping every 4-6 months.

I am considering purchasing however will the Premium work for a 13 pound Maltipoo or should I consider the Ultimate if I can find it?

  1. Ultimate.

Can this be used on young kittens?

  1. Absolutely! Thank you!
