What do you think about cats behavior??
I'm looking for recommendations of books to read about cat behavior - there are so many and I'd like an expert's opinion. I want to know what's going on in my cat's head and how to better help her adjust to our family and home.
my cat bites at the carpet. She sits on her haunches and acts like she is going to bite at her back leg but bites the carpet instead. Is there something wrong or just bad behavior?
Seems the be overly aggressive lately. Scratching, biting, climbing up my legs, fake crying and attacking when I investigate the crying, sulking away even when offered treats, bouncing off the walls. She has a cat tree, tons of various toys, and feed well, but still destroying my apt while I'm at work. Agression seems excessive from normal 3 month behavior from what I read.
Hello doc, i am here to ask that my cat is almost 3 months and she is healthy and active cat, she is playful and mostly bites me not like real bite but like nibbling but when when she gets too much active she bits me with more force that it sometimes leave some littel marks and her this behaviour is increasing day by day so what should i do
What can I expect in the future for behavior in my one year old female cat Chloe?
I have 3 female cats, sisters and they are all about 2 years old. I adopted them when they were 10 days old and they lost their mother, They get along with each other and we don't have any serious behavioral problems except a weird behavior from Fouska, the independent yet really patient one. She doesn't like to be seen by other family when she shows me affection. When they see her while she grooms me, she looks at them almost annoyed and leaves. What kind of cat instinct is that?
Hi! I need some behavior assistance with my 4 year old cat. I adopted him from a shelter a handful of months ago, and overall hes very well behaved and we have had no accidents. He gets very irritable when I first walk in the door or move too quickly, he will hiss and stand his ground but never swat or actually come at me. Once I pet him he becomes very social and loving, but if i get up, walk away and come back again, he gets scared and irritable. Why is he acting like this?
Hello. I have a male neutered cat that just turned 9 yesterday. Lately he has been showing some confusing and irritating behavior. He used to listen when we would tell him "out" if he was standing in the middle of the way, he refuses to listen. He also hisses very easily, he never used to. Whenever he sees my female dog (been here for almost 2 years) he follows her to pick a fight with her even if her attention was not on Him At All.Maybe A BitDisoriented, constantlyFollowingUs, BumpingIntoThings
Hi so my cat recently has a weird behavior. while we are in bed he meows as if asking for attention and then proceeds to bit (either my clothes or blanket) and doesn't let got at all, but at the same time he's purring and knitting me. The only way to get him off is to open his mouth with my finger but then he gets upset and goes back for another grab and this can last minutes. This is not an emergency but im very curious of why he is doing this.
What are some examples of dominant behavior in cats? I adopted CiCi first and she was the only cat for about a few months, then I adopted Autumn. Since then, it seems CiCi will dominate Autumn until Autumn becomes submissive. However, this behavior appears to be getting more aggressive in nature and I don't know how to stop it. What can I do to stop this behavior?
