Cat repellent and deterrent products work to ensure your kitty’s natural behaviors, like scratching and chewing, don’t become a problem in your home. Repellent and deterrent sprays can be used to keep your cat away from certain places or from scratching and chewing fixtures and furniture. These off-limits items might include upholstered or wood furniture, outside garden areas, curtains, carpets and more. At Petco we have motion-activated sprays and refills as well as manual sprays and even sticky tape to put on furniture as a behavior deterrent.
Repellent sprays are designed to deter cats from certain activities. All cats will react differently to repellent sprays and individual results may vary.
Cat repellent and deterrent sprays are formulated to keep cats away from wherever they’re sprayed—including furniture.
A cat deterrent is usually a spray that helps to prevent or deter certain behaviors in your cat, such as scratching a piece of furniture.

My cat has a habit of jumping on furniture and I was wondering if there was some wood safe repellent I could use to keep her from jumping on it when I’m not home
I have moved into a house with neighboring cats using my front & back door gardens to toilet. It stinks. I have tried 3 “keep off” commercial products, planted lavender & lemon thyme & placed 20+ lemon halves where they go. Nothing is working. Don’t want to harm the cats just want them to leave. Any ideas please?
is there a repellent which will not bother my cat that i can use to repel dogs who piss on our garden? i have used vinegar on the wood box around the garden and vinegar dissipates quickly. this is more important to me for next spring and summer. my cat likes to sit in the garden and dogs pee there. and i don't want our flowers killed by pee! this is a low income apartment building with a shared yard.
Looking for scent my 1 yr kittens will TOTALLY DISLIKE and not go near. Orange or lavender essential oil mixed 10 drops to 1/4 cup or just on cotton ball haven't worked
So my cat is pooping and peeing on the counters and I'm getting tired of it. Is there anything I can use to discourage her from using these spots? Is there any type of chemical? Spray?
My cat will not stop obsessively scratching the carpet no matter what I do. She is neutered, she will remove caps, she will rip up aluminum foil, I put scratching posts on every single area she scratches and she moves them. I am hopeless right now and trust me i am trying everything I can do so I won't have to declaw her. I'm going to try 1 more thing. I'm going to make a homemade cat deterant spray but I need help deciding what type. Should I make a vinegar based spray, lavender or citrus?
After exhaustive cleaning, our cat continues to mark indoors. Have you found indoor electric fences helpful?
How do you stop a cat from chewing on house plants
Both of my cats, Holly being the worst offender chew on my earbuds if I accidentally leave them somewhere and ruin them. I make sure not to leave them laying around for them to chew on but they still manage to find my earbuds. Is there anything I could possibly spray on the wires to deter my cats from chewing on them? Thank you!
Due to the construction work around my apartment, mosquitoes are at large, what is the best cat friendly mosquito repellent?
My cat has peed on various horizontal surfaces (probably due to inflammation in the bladder according to the vet) and my family is struggling with removing the smell with Dettol. Will it eventually have an effect? And are there of the shelf material that do the job better?
My cat started to pee on my bed. I have read that spraying mixture of peppermint oil with water would deter them. Is it safe
