My cats did not use it so I had to get back to normal litter box to avoid accidents.

People are harder to train

This system is great. The cat pick it up fine but everyone else who uses the bathroom can’t seem to remember to put the thing back on the toilet. So of course accident happen. I don’t blame the cat.

Litter Kwitter Toilet Training System

It was pretty easy getting my kittens to use the toilet with the Litter Kwitter, which is great. I haven't progressed past the last step (green ring) because one kitten is small and likes using the ring to position himself on it (reason for 4 stars). Hope that as the kittens become bigger cats that the final step will be accomplished. I'm retired and home most of the time, so not sure how someone that cannot monitor the waste cleanup will fare with this system. Good luck.

Yes, I recommend this product.

It definitely can work, mine are using it, but only with the full enclosed circle. I think it will take 2-3xs what they say it will take. It will also make huge mess, but that doesn't bother me. Just have broom in bathroom to sweep up litter they toss out It is very easy to set up. Very good design. Well made and durable. Easy to take off and on the toilet seat. (We only have one bath so we are sharing).

Yes, I recommend this product.

The life of not buying litter or cleaning out a litter box, it is great. I used this for my first cat and as it has been 10 years and a move I have to get a new one for my kitten. Well worth it though!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Cat Pees on towels after using Kwitter

Upset Mom

Tried to use Kwitter on my new kitten at 3 months old. She did fine on the first ring and I got excited. But when I tried the second ring, she just wouldn't go. She kept staring down the hole. So instead, she pull towels off the towel rod in the bathroom and go on them. Now she is almost 3 years old and if her box is slightly dirty, she will pull towels down and do both #1 and 2 on towels. If she sees towels, blankets on the floor, she would go on it too. So annoyed. I wish I never tried this product.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Has anyone used cat liter with this product while having a septic system? What cat liter is safe for septic systems?

Is a 10 year old cat to old to train?

    1. It might be a longer process. I had a cat that was 12 and she used the other system with a little hesitation. I went to the Litter Kwitter with my new kitten because it is sturdier than the competitive product. it's worth a try with an older cat.

LITTER KWITTER USED ON KIDDY TRAINING TOILET

    1. 1) I would not recommend having a litter box available to your cats. 2) I, also, would not recommend investing in two kits or toddler toilets as you may end up confusing your cats. Start with the box beside your personal toilet and slowly raise it as the cats adjust. Phone books work well. Also remember that each cat may have its own learning curve. I would go as slow in your training as the slowest cat adjusts. In other words, don't raise the box until all of your cats are on board. 3) Were they even meant to be questions. ;)

Will this work on a handicap toilet?

    1. By handicap I assume you mean ADA compliant which only refers to the layout of bathroom stall or compartment. All toilet seats are a standard width. There are longer toilet seats available but those are specialty items & you would know if you have one. If you do have a specialty toilet this may not work because it's designed for a flat standard size toilet.

Can me and my cat use the same toilet or would there be a teritory issue for the cat?

    1. This was not an issue in my experience. It's my son, my husband, my cat and myself. We all use the same toilet. Of course, every cat is different so don't quote me.

    flushabul litter

    1. I used Better Ways Cat Litter, but I can't find it at Petco.

Will this system work for my 9 week old kitten or should I wait?

    1. If they are old enough to litter box train then they are old enough to toilet train seeing as you start with the box and just raise the box as they adjust to the new height.

I will be adopting two 8 week old kittens this weekend... are they too young for this product?

    1. If they are old enough to litter box train then they are old enough to toilet train seeing as you start with the box and just raise the box as they adjust to the new height.

I don't understand how you get them started - is there a pan or something that goes in the middle & holds litter to get their attention?

    1. There is a booklet and dvd to get you started, but I began by putting the regular potty box in the bathroom and leaving it there for 3 or 4 days, then adding the Litter Kwitter by placing it on the floor, first next to the potty box, then by sliding it over next to the toilet. For a day or two, it stayed like that, then I removed the potty box and put the "kitty potty seat" up on the porcelain bowl, not the human toilet seat. And, yes, it will work on round or oval. You just place or remove the clips as necessary. I have 2 little girls who are doing just fine, though one is moving at a slower pace than the other. So, just in case, I bought the supplemental pans so that Hannah will feel just as comfortable as Delilah. It may take a little longer that way, but I'd rather get it right the first time! Oh, and make sure that you use flushable litter, like World's Best in the red package. Otherwise, you could have a big mess on your hands!

Will the Litter Kwitter system support a 20lb. cat?

    1. I have a 17 pound cat, and he didn't have any problems with it. I don't think another 3 pounds would break it.
